Reliable WiFi 6 Upgrade with Great Features
Reliable WiFi 6 Upgrade with Great FeaturesThe ASUS RT-AX3000 has been a rock-solid upgrade to my home network. Setup was straightforward with the ASUS app—within minutes I had it configured and running. The WiFi 6 support really makes a difference; multiple devices can stream, game, and video call without slowdowns. Coverage is excellent across a two-story house, and even the backyard gets a stable signal.I appreciate the thoughtful extras ASUS built in. Adaptive QoS lets me prioritize gaming or streaming when needed, and the parental controls are simple yet effective. AiProtection, powered by Trend Micro, adds an extra layer of peace of mind against security threats. I also like that it’s AiMesh compatible, which means I can expand coverage in the future without replacing the router. One small note: while performance is excellent, the unit does run a little warm. Not a big issue, but something to keep in mind if you place it in a tight space.Bottom line: A fast, reliable, and feature-packed router that’s a great choice if you’re ready to move into WiFi 6 and want excellent coverage with built-in security and expandability.

Fast and reliable
It just works. I recommend it.It's fairly easy to set up as routers go, with a web interface and internal help documents. The terminology is pretty standard, so someone who is reasonably experienced and computer-literate could set it up from directions. It seems secure, and I can control it completely. It's fast, and I don't think I have ever had to restart it. Just now, in the middle of a work day, I measured up to 621 Mbps UPload, and 685 Mbps download with Ookla. I haven't checked recently, I think the speed of our service is around 600.Mine has a USB port for output to a USB device. I haven't tried it. The next model down lacks this output,

It just works, with quality security
It’s a nice Router. It works well than a 2200 square-foot home. We like the fact that it allows for reset on its own, which keeps any data cleared out of its memory. We like the design we like the speed and the quality. The wireless Connectivity is good and we’ve had no problems. We had a TP link before and we had quite a bit of buffering. We don’t find that so much with this Router. I did some reviews on the Security and found that this particular brand does not have any or I should say didn’t have any at the time I did a security review. I believe with any Router placement is key for all the items in the home to connect appropriately.

Solid product and a sound purchase
First the prosI get coverage for the whole house, plus outside of the house too in the alley and the front porch. This was a easy setup using the Ai Mesh software with other ASUS Ai mesh compatible routers.Signal quality 5/5Stability 2/5 Edit *5/5* May/5/2023Ease of use 5/5Range of signal N/A (Cable modem only)Overall product 5/5Please check the updated Review below, it has been updated to reflect corrections to my original, which had some errors.Once in awhile, I got a red disconnect light, usually after 2-4 weeks of use. I have to either power cycle the cable modem, the router or both before getting the connection back. This was 💯 due to an physical connection issue, caused by a leaking signal from the ISP side of things.Once I started to reboot regularly as a temporary fix, the issue resolved itself in the short-term, until a technician came and replaced all the incoming connection wiring. For those who want to know, I am using the MOTOROLA Model MB8611 DOCSIS 3.1 (compatible with 32x8 DOCSIS 3.0). Finally it has a 2.5Gbps ethernet port.*EDIT* Changed stability to 5/5. The issue was signal leakage and noise, causing high ping, jitter, latency and dropped connections.Despite all of that, this cable modem managed to get me a internet connection, whereas a cheaper purchase and isp provided modem struggled.I recommend this even more now! It powered through broken connections and still provided internet service.
