Excellent value UV filter.
I bought this after I dropped my Canon 6D with 24 70 2.8 ii on the ground in my camera bag. It destroyed the BW Haze filter that was attached, but luckily no damage was done to the front element. The construction of this filter is very good. Given the price, it seems to be an excellent value. The ring is aluminum, but the mount on my 24 70 is plastic so I didn't feel the need to pay for a BW brass ring again. The glass itself seems to be of good quality. I didn't notice any extra artifacts when shooting during the noon hour in the full sun. I'd definitely buy this filter again if I break it.With that said, it probably does degrade image quality a bit since adding anything in front of your lens will do so, but there's no denying that these types of filters protect your lenses.

Surprisingly good!
I just bought a new Nikon D750 with a 24-120 Nikon lens, and wanted a top quality filter to put on it, as a protector and UV inhibitor. After seeing a huge range of prices for various filters, and considering some of the top names in the business, I settled on the Lenskins MRC UV, plus their Circular Polarizer, and a 10x neutral density filter. I am very pleased with all 3 filters. The photos I've taken with the filters on, are just as sharp as those I've taken with the filters off. The 10x neutral density filter does not alter the color of the final image at all. The polarizer does what it is supposed to do; eliminating reflections and haze, bringing in better colors, and is totally neutral in color balance. I bought all three filters and they arrived promptly, for under $100 total. I am very pleased with Lenskins, and encourage others to get these high quality filters for a reasonable price.

Fits Well
Warmth? Sheerness? For a camera filter? Anyhow, very nicely made. The quality seems quite high. Screwed right onto the P1000 lens with absolutely no problem. I bought it to protect the lens. It does not interfere with the lens hood. As it is the pure, plain glass "filter," it does not cause any problems with the lens when taking photos at long distances.

Why pay more?
I have been photographing for over 45 years and watched the price of filters go up and up. Filters are not lenses and they use a fraction of of materials. In my opinion one should not pay $100 for a coated piece of glass. These filters are a quality product and a good value. The way it should be.

Surprisingly great quality at an awesome price!
This is way better quality than the price would indicate. Pictures turn out fantastic without distortion and it is very solid. A great buy!

Excellent lens and excellent value
I bought 5 of these to protect my set of SLR Magic Cineprimes. The filters are super slim and doesn't degrade the image to any discernible amount. No vignetting at 15mm. Overall they're well made, great quality German glass. At $20 for an 82mm filter...it's a great value.

It’s really meant to just protect your lens. That’s it.
I like the packaging looks professional.Filter came with inserts to provide information about the filter. The ad states it made from German optics. After researching this glass is mean for window...I took a few test shots with harsh lighting extreme dynamic range. Image looks better without this filter on. I told myself, this is a filter to protect my optics. The 16 layer Coating didn’t seems to help.

As good as any
I've purchased many uv filters over the years to protect my lenses. This one is as good as any others I've bought. I haven't detected any distortion or other issues and the price is good. Seems like good value for the money to me.
