- TOP QUALITY MATERIALS: The Shogun Sports Ab Mat has been manufactured using Top Quality non-slip Vinyl on the exterior and comfortable yet durable Foam Padding in the inside. Our Core Mat offers complete stability for your pelvis and ample padding for you lower back and spine. The Shogun Sports Ab Mat is lightweight (1.5 LB / 700 Grs) and portable (12 x 15 x 4 inch when folded) making it perfect not only for home training but also a great addition to any GYM of Fitness Studio.
- ERGONOMIC SHAPE: The Shogun Sports Ab Mat has been designed keeping in mind the natural curvature of the spine, allowing maximum extension and contraction of your core whilst safely supporting your back during your workout. Unlike Fitness Balls and Ab Wheels the Shogun Sports Core Mat will not roll or wobble on you so you can concentrate on your core exercises. Furthermore the Tailbone Protector will prevent any chafing and will alleviate discomfort during high-rep workouts.
- REDEFINING SIT-UPS : In the old traditional sit-up your feet are anchored and the hip flexors do much of the work. The back is arched in an unsafe position and momentum is what finishes the movement. The Shogun Sports Ab Mat allows for the extension needed in the lumbar spine and the anterior tilt in the pelvis, thereby giving the abdominal muscles what they ask for - full range, elongation, and forceful contraction.
- WORK YOUR ENTIRE CORE: Positioned under the lower back, the Abdominal Mat enables a full extension of your abdominals at the beginning of a sit-up by tilting the spine, which is not possible on a flat surface. It also helps to stabilize the pelvis as you rise up, allowing the abs to fully contract. The result is a more efficient and complete core training of the abdominal, oblique, and back muscles.
- TAILBONE PROTECTION: Unfortunately for many people, it’s not the abdominal pain that limits the frequency and volume of their Ab Workout, it’s the pain and discomfort in their backside. The pain in the Tailbone is a common problem that sometimes cannot be fixed even by high quality sit-up pads. The Shogun Sports Ab Mat Solves this problem with the included Tailbone protector cushion at the base of the Mat. This Padded cushion will create a base that keeps you tailbone away from the floor.
