I bought this to transmit an HDMI signal to another receiverUpon receiving it, the box states that you can only transmit from Windows, iOS & Android and this device will receive the signal on any monitor and TV (with an HDMI port) .The title clearly states "Wireless Display Dongle Transmitter"This is totally misleading, dont buy this if you want to transmit HDMI signal it doesnt transmit anything!

I really wanted to like this but…I currently use an Apple cable to connect my iPad via HDMI to hotel TV’s when travelling. It works OK but being cable free was appealing. The ad is misleading, they don’t show the additional double cable that is needed to not only power the unit, via a separarte USB power supply (not provided), but also to provide wifi connectivity. See the photo.It works, but the screen image is noticeably lower resolution than via the Apple cable and has bad lag, with constantly skipping frames making it pretty much unwatchable. Another problem is that the wifi connection means you can’t use the normal wifi at the same time, so you can’t view anything that’s streaming from eg YouTube or Netflix.I’ll buy a longer HDMI cable instead.

It works perfectly, and I can now stream videos from my Smart phone to the T.V. and to a projector. The transmission is very good, and this works better than a dearer one I had been using which failed.

WARNING: does not work with netflix or apps like it.it could only do the screen and not many apps for example netflix did not work. setting it up was quite hard but overall it did its job and what the seller said it would do.

still working around half year just need keep closer device if want better quality
