Large 610g /21oz Cans. Similar Ingredients as Others
I have not opened these cans of blueberry pie filling but I did compare this to others here in the states and other than the additional food coloring the ingredients were identical. Cambie's main ingredient,(blueberries) does not list an origin which may have offered an indication that their filling tastes different than our local brand. Based on what i can read and what information the manufacture has offered I do not see anything exceptional here except the extremely high price.I know we are all very busy these days but I'm going to share a recipe for blueberry pie filling. The ingredients and method is very easy to do. Cost, about $3.75Ingredients 2 cups (about 9 ounces) blueberries ¼ cup (60ml) water ⅓ cup (67g) granulated sugar 1 tablespoon (8g) cornstarch 1 tablespoon (15ml) water 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juiceInstructionsPlace blueberries and ¼ cup water in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until you notice some of the blueberries breaking down, about 3-5 minutes depending on how hot your stove is.While they are cooking, mix the cornstarch, 1 tablespoon water and lemon juice in a small bowl and stir until smooth. Set aside.Add the sugar and stir. Then stir the cornstarch slurry to make sure there are no lumps and stir it into the blueberries. Stir constantly until mixture thickens, just 1-2 minutes or so. Once the mixture bubbles it’s done. Remove from the heat and transfer to a jar or bowl to cool.Cover warm mixture so it doesn’t form a skin and let come to room temperature, then chill if not using.Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Great cherry pie filling - not too sweet, not too tart
This Cambie cherry filling looks good - plump, whole cherries in a nice thick glaze. I like that the first ingredient is cherries and that it doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup. I used it to top a store bought cheesecake and it really made it a wow dessert. The filling has a really good flavor with just a hint of tartness. I'm looking forward to using the other 2 cans to bake cherry pies for the holidays. The can states that these are produced in the Phillipines. They are twice the cost of the canned filling I've bought in the grocery store, but the cherries are sourced from France and I do think it looks and tastes like a quality product. I've never heard of Cambie before, but there is a Cambie storefront which states they are "your source for chocolate, pastry products and ingredients". There is also a website for their products. Also Cambie did send these extremely well packed - each of the 3 cans are in protective cushioned plastic sleeves - so that you don't wind up with dented cans. Very nice touch.

FOOD COLORING WARNING
Was really frustrated to see this has red 40, as we do try our best to avoid it and probably won't be able to use this beyond initially trying it. The flavor is really good and I wish I could have more, but the food coloring isn't helping the flavor. I got it not even thinking about the potential for food coloring, especially since it claims European quality and I don't think European canned pie filling would likely include food coloring. Extremely disappointing they're using food coloring and not just relying on the colors of the fruit. The cans were very well protected in shipping and I do appreciate that, but I'm just incredibly disappointed at their choice of ingredients. Using useless ingredients just to make your product appear "better" isn't very "European quality" of them and I find that pretty misleading. I do see it listed on the listing, but I really didn't think I needed to check this due to their claims.

Soo Good
This filling tastes great and comes in handy for a variety of recipes. I like that the filling isn't overly sweet and has a nice texture that works well in pastries and also as a topper to yogurts and desserts! The quality is wonderful and I can't wait to try this product out for the holidays!

Extremely well packaged, good flavor profile
I was genuinely surprised at how well this product was packaged for shipment. Each can came tucked inside a sturdy, thick bubble pack and the three cans fit just perfectly inside the box. The can says 610 grams which should be 21.5oz, but it's basically the exact size of an 18.5oz Progresso soup can, except maybe about an 1/8" taller. With the slight height difference and the fact the ingredients are packed so tight that there is NO movement at all when you shake the can, there might in fact be 21.5oz in the can. It has a perfect gel-to-strawberry chunks ratio and the flavor profile is nice. I forgot to take a picture, but this topping was delicious on top of a large cheesecake. I froze the leftovers and I'm going to mix some into ice cream this weekend.

real blueberries but a lot of sugar
These are real blueberries and work as a filling right out of the can if you like lots of sugar in your pies. I found I need to dilute it with real blueberries because I don't like as much sugar in my food.

Pretty, Pretty Good!
This pack of 3 cans of Cambie strawberry filling was carefully packed with each can of filling protected by an air bubble sleeve. This is my first time trying a Cambie product so I was quick to open a can (pull ring top) and give it a taste.Ooh, it is delicious. Lots of fruit chunks and sweetened with real sugar. Nice thick glaze. Beautiful appearance and the taste of top quality ingredients. For my taste buds, this would be too sweet to use as a straight pie filling. It's more suited to using by the tablespoon as a topping...maybe for cheesecake, vanilla ice cream, pudding, or a strawberry short cake. It would be perfect to dollop onto scones with clotted cream. I'm planning to try a bit from my opened can on a peanut butter sandwich. Good stuff!
