I recommend this lovely product to my friends
I love this snowfire and my family have been using it for decades it's brilliant for those little dry sore patches between the fingernail and skin that are stubborn to heal. I stopped using it and forgot what it was called and then saw it in my dad's first aid box. I keep it in my first day box now and would recommend it to others. In fact I do recommend it to others

A god send for cracked fingers
Works incredibly well at releiving pain from cracked fingers and heels pretty much instantly. It doesn't smell great but the effectiveness of the product outweights the smell, my wife might disagree but it's not her fingers that are constantly sore without this stuff.

heavy duty
Snowfire was delivered very quickly. I only give it 4 stars because the design of the applicator could be better. Rather than pull the top off and twist the base to raise the stick, as you would expect with a lipsalve, you unscrew the cap and push the stick up from the bottom. That mechanism simply isn't as easy to use or control the height of the stick. When you have finished you just push the stick back in using the cap. It's hard when cold so if you were walking or working outside in the cold you'd want to carry it in a pocket so it's easier to apply when you need it. When it warms to room temperature it's fine. The difference at low temperature combined with the unexpected mechanism meant that when I recieved it (cold) The stick was stuck to the cap and easily snapped from the base of the applicator so that I thought that was how it was designed to be used, which would have been an even poorer design than the actual one.It didn't heal the cracks in my hands (but I expect they're beyond help once they appear) but the ointment softens them, sooths the pain to an extent and gives them a good protective layer. The natural oils in it should be antiseptic, and I have found that my cracks have not been infected since I started using SF. It is similar to Zam-buc but in a different form that is more practical for certain situations.I like the herbal-parrafin-campfire smell because I like camping and it reminds me of that, but you might not.It is quite greasy when warm so if you use a keyboard/mouse after applying it indoors it will leave marks if you don't rub it in really well. The good thing about SF however is that you can apply it only directly where it's needed and not coat the rest of your hands. I rub SF into my cracks and use a general moisturiser for the rest of my hands.I think the stick will last a good length of time for the price and I would recommend this for anyone who gets badly cracked hands and particularly if you work or play outside, or dislike having moisturiser over all of your hands.

Work really well
I had dry, chapped and cracked skin on my hands. It was too much for my usual hand cream. It would relieve the dryness but not enough for the skin to heal. Putting some of this on over night allowed my skin to start healing and my hands were much better by the morning. Highly recommend this. Note it doesn't soak in quickly like hand cream, which is why using it over night is good, otherwise it gets on everything you touch unless you put gloves on. It does suggest using moisture gloves.

Not the same as the original
I’ve used Snowfire for some time, hadn’t bought any for a while, and was running out. When I ordered this I noticed the packaging had changed. Unfortunately so has the product itself. It’s similar, but definitely doesn’t seem to apply as well. It’s smells different too. Why can’t they just leave things alone instead of changing it?
