I like it but it will tear up a wood cutting board
After the first use, I noticed a whole bunch of splinters sticking out of the wood cutting board built into my kitchen. I switched to a plastic cutting board, and I don't have any trouble. It is easy to use, you don't need to use too much force. But watch out for splinters on a wooden cutting board.

Nice crinkle cut fries!
We love french fries and cook them at least once per week. We even grow our own russet potatoes in our garden. This knife is the best I've found for making crinkle fries. The grooves cut by this knife are much deeper than other blades I tried. Seems like the grooves allow for a much more even flow of hot oil around the fries. The knife arrived with a decent cutting edge but I was able to file the the blade to a very sharp edge just using a regular flat file. Waffle fry note: I did try to cut a waffle fry for this review but just couldn't make it work. But over all this is a good specialty knife. It seems like it can be sharpen and maintained pretty easily, and it makes extremely good crinkle fries!Update 2021: Still using this knife! Holding it's edge nicely. Tip for cutting safely: cut a flat spot on one side of the potato as a base to prevent the potato from rolling around as you slice.

Great wavy knife
This is a comfortable knife perfect for cutting wavy potatoes and veggies. Good for air fryer veggies

Handle doesn't give very good leverage with carrots or potatoes
Handle is more for a cleaver than a knife. It's not easy to apply pressure with hard vegetables. It's OK to clean, but there's no decent way to sharpen it, unless you have a proper sized rat tail file handy. You want it even, not a pointed or serrated edge, but, it's just flat, unbeveled, corrugated metal, so you need lots of effort to cut waxy potatoes, especially when you want an even thickness. I would buy a mandolin to cut up 5 potatoes for fries instead of this blade.

(Almost) Waffle Fry "Certified"
I bought four corrugated garnish knives in an attempt to find one that had sufficient depth of blade corrugation to promote the production of waffle fries. This product has the greatest depth of corrugation of any that I purchased. However, it is still borderline in being able to yield cuts that are thick enough to be called "fries" (rather than chips) and still have the holes that are characteristic of restaurant style waffle fries. Having the handle in a more typical knife configuration is a slight drawback compared to the push, D-handle design found in two others that I tried but, as mentioned, this blade will get you as close to successful, restaurant-style waffle fries as any of the four that I purchased.
