This is not your typical chili oil. It's tangy with strong notes of vinegar and saltiness. It tastes like a combination of chili oil mixed with hot sauce.The flavor is great, smokey, spicy, and complex. It's pretty potent, so I find I can't use it on everything or all that often.The ingredients are good, but it does have added flavor enhancers and uses refined sunflower oil.Overall - it's a good chili oil, but a bit too much like a hot sauce for me. I prefer more traditional chili oil (without the vinegar notes), but I admire them for pushing the envelop on what chili oil can taste like.

I like these chili oils a lot. They are flavorful and pack a good punch. You get #7 medium high heat and #9 super hot. #7 is made with Lavangi chili peppers while #9 with Bhoot Jolokia (ghost pepper) chili peppers. They have a good flavor with a nice hint of garlic and spices. I add these to stir-fried noodles and they are tasty. They have bits and pieces of the ingredients immerged in the oil, so they really give you a burst of flavor with the heat lingering in the aftertaste. They taste good on fried eggs and as a dip for dumplings, etc. They come well-packaged in individual boxes with a cardboard wrapper inside. Overall, a good hot oil combo. Flavorful and spicy. I would recommend giving them a try. Good product.
