Is there a trick to pushing the toaster buttons down or was I just sent a broken toaster?

You have to set type of toast by continuously tapping type of toast until your type shows up. You don’t hold any buttons down. Then push lever down. Toasting will then start.

Can it be used also for like toaster strudel?

I used mine for toaster strudels just push it down then touch the light toast button and the toaster strudel came out for me just right

Is it made of stainless steel?

it says in the description in several places: housing made of stainless steel.....but mine never worked, touch controls did not work, sent it back
