Very Solid 19mm camera rod
I was worried it might have some flex like some aluminum or carbon rods, but it’s very solid and works great for mounting remote focus motor to.

It is a smooth rod. Very nicely polished, and quite aesthetically pleasing.
I don't know why, but I thought this was sold as a pair. So please note, that these are sold singly, not in pairs. If you need one for each side of your rig, better order 2 of them. It's very nicely made, no burrs or anything out of place or dinged or damaged. And it is, indeed, heavy duty...in a post-apocalyptic world where you're scavenging the wasteland for resources, this stainless steel rod would definitely help you crush a few Rad Roaches. If you still have all your camera gear...and nothing else. I'm hoping you got some good footage, btw.Anyway, I've little else to say about Neewer's impressive stainless 19mm rod. If you need some 19mm rod for your rig, this definitely fits the bill. 5 stars.

Generally well-made, beautiful clean finish. But a little Quality-Check issue
I know Neewer for making precision products of varying materials, from plastic to steel to aluminum. This is no exception. The 19mm pole threaded internally on both ends for any and all attachments, even extensions. Fits the extension adapter perfectly as seen in my photo....but... before doing any of that, I had to check inside. And I didn't particularly like how there were still steel shavings in there. That can and will damage the threading if left in. That's no good and the main reason for not getting the full 5/5 stars.

Good solid rods
Love these rods. They're so much more reassuringly solid than a set of 15mm rods, and although substantially heavier, they're ideal for larger shoulder mounted cameras. Overkill for DSLR and Mirrorless cameras.

Superb Quality, But See Write-up For Issues
I obtained both the rod and the matching connector. Much of this is also posted in the review on the connector itself. The rod is nicely made and finished. I had a minor problem with the internal threading on one end of the rod, but after very carefully installing and removing the connector several times, things smoothed out with no problem. Likely just a tiny burr, though I couldn't see one, even with magnification.I got this for evaluation, not immediate use, and having satisfied myself as to Neewer's basic rod quality, looked further into 19mm rod support systems. It seems to me that unless you are truly into major pro (expensive) gear, you'll find 19mm much more limiting than 15mm or 15mm/LWF (or smaller, of course). Compatibility can be an issue, there are no interconnection standards that I could find, and Neewer is not a major player in that market. I couldn't even find so much as a rod cap. Moreover, Neewer, like most brands, doesn't publish its 19mm rod internal thread/connector spec, so whether or not you can adapt other brand's 19mm threaded accessories is unknown.I don't have any metric gauges large enough to directly measure the threads. As best as I can tell from raw measurement of the thread pitch and major/minor diameters of the connector, the threading inside the rod appears to be M17-1. If so, as an extremely uncommon threading, and your DIY options are essentially nil, unless you plan on machining your own parts.All-in-All, I find the situation frustrating. Lack of accessory parts and zero technical information, even with decent quality, is not a system I want. Finally, although the price of the rod seems reasonable enough, a connector is 50% of the price of the rod! Way too much.
