An excellent dramatization of a terrific series. This tale has grabbed my imagination from the beginning and continues to both shock and awe me with it's brilliant imagery. Go get em Tanya!

This is a wonderful exercise in morality! Who is evil in this story? I’ll give you a hint... it isn’t Tanya!

Make sure you know what you are ordering because there are light novels of this series as well. The light series is nearly all type and this is magna, which has pictures like a comic novel. I got both by mistake

The only problem I had was I tore through this manga in two days. I NEED MORE!!

great condition and quality

The first graphic depiction of Tanya the Evil was intriguing. The English translation of the Japanese original production was good, and despite the cheap quality of the material used to produce both the binding and its pages, it worked. However, the latest installation of the Manga suffered greatly in terms of production quality. Much of the chapter notes are appendixed to the wrong chapter. For example, this novel is Chapters 4 through 6 of the Manga, but their glossaries (which are filled mostly with explanations of military terms for the uninitiated) are labelled 1 through 3 rather than corresponding to their respective chapters.This might not be so bad of course, as the terms in first three chapters in the first volume we usually explained is frame, but if it continues, it will seem off to have the glossaries disjointed from the chapters going forward by three. Likewise, it seems that the story has also slowed down/ been cut to arrive at its stopping point. The story remains essentially the same as that of both the light novel and anime of the same name. While the fleshing out of some of the scenes that both the novel and the manga skip over is appreciated, it is hoped that the remaining volumes so far produced and waiting translation for English speaking audiences do not suffer from these same problems in term of indexing the chapters, material used for binding, and that the illustrator/ story board return to a more linear time frame for the next entry into the story rather than jump cutting like the dreaded .5 anime episode did (Yes, it may have been a GW thing, but those in the West have no context for Japanese events/ scheduling).Overall this addition, as I mentioned does not seem as well produced as the first entry of Youjo Senki into graphic form but it shows promise and the fleshing out of the scenes that Carlo Zen left bare in original Light Novel, such as Corporal Serebryakov's first days on the Rhine front, give more weight to the story. I recommend this for fans of the light novels or the anime, but for entrants into this title/ universe for the first time, I recommend that you at least read the first Light Novel, The Saga of Tanya the Evil: Deus lo Vult first.

Great art and story a must ready for any anime fan that’s looking for a military style story. Book was a little dinged from shipping which kinda sucks but what you gonna do.
