For me, this is a great little grip for your S9.
This fits the S9 perfectly. Is it the best grip you can get? I don't know, I've not tried them all but I have tried this, it works, I like it, it suits me.

Superb build quality
Fits the Panasonic S9 like a glove. This is an essential accessory for the camera and improves it handling by quite a large margin. Recommend without hesitation.

Improved grip but with a thick base.
Gives a small improvement to grip on the camera but at the expense of making the camera taller. I’d also have liked either a much slimmer baseplate or additional 1/4 and/or 3/8” threaded hole in the current thickness of plate.
