8 year old with size 2 shoes, we bought large socks, fit well. It was a guess since there really is no size chart on the site. I went off reviews by others, seller should consider posting chart with shoe sizes corresponding to socks.

Run small!!!
These were an xmas present for my daughter, I bought the Large, she is a shoe size 4 kids. They wouldn't fit past her heel without a fight.

These are nice socks, especially for the price
These are nice socks, especially for the price. All the selections seem more taylored to girls than for boys, but I picked out the most masculine-looking selection for my son. I bought these for my son to wear during the winter. They go up mid-calf and are not too tight around the calf but will stay up. My son is not heavy but he is not small either. He wears a size 3 1/2 shoe and I bought the large. They just fit -- we have to pull the sock on perfectly for the heal to be at the heal and not down, so I expect these to last this winter, which is fine because that's what I need them for. However, I'd recommend buying one size larger than you think you need.

Oh wow these socks are cool! My husband ordered some dress socks like these, and I had to get our son some to match. The quality is great and they wash well...holding up nicely. The elastic holds up well, staying up on the leg and not slouching down. I think they are great! With the rate kids grow, having a little high water length with these socks is cool! Just a little though.

Nice socks at first, but a little small.
These are nice looking socks that my son likes, but they are definitely smaller than I expected after washing. I would recommend ordering one size bigger than you think, but beware, the inside strings start getting frayed and a mess quickly.

Great quality sock!
I needed argyle socks for my son to represent Ireland in a parade....I was hoping for a slightly longer sock but they did the job. He's 8 yo, size 8, size 2 shoe...included a picture for view with sock length. Ordered medium. They fit great.

Nice but too small
I tried to purchase the proper sock size by reading the size charts along with comments from others who had purchased and the size I ordered was still the wrong size. I ordered a M for my 5 year old who wears a size 12.5 - 13. Probably could have done even an XL. Although they are a bit too small, I do love the look of the socks.

cool socks
I like the colors of the socks. My only complaint is that they are not very wide. My son can't put them on by himself. I have to put them on him like panty hose.
