Easy installation and perfect fit
I purchased this blower motor after hearing a ticking noise in the blower motor that was in my car. My vehicle is a 2017 Subaru Legacy 2.5 I Limited and I purchased this to replace that fan motor that was starting to go out the installation was extremely easy. All I had to do was unplug the motor and take out three screws and then repeat the opposite way to install it and Had no issues turn the car on and it worked perfectly. The air does feel like it blows a little harder than OEM blower motor. Obviously, the best thing about it is that it is quiet and you do not hear any noise coming from it as that’s what was bothering me from the previous one I cannot , make any comments on how long it lasts or how reliable it is, but I’ve had to going for a few weeks now and it has worked perfectly and had no issues .

OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS BETTER THAN THE OEM FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. I am a Vine reviewer and when my wifes AC blower went out I immediately checked Amazon for a product that may need a review and this popped up.We have a Subaru Outback, and a Subaru WRX. We have had five total Subarus over the years and every one of them, the cabin fan has died right around 90,000 miles. This is most likely because we live in Arizona and the air conditioner is used non-stop.IN order to install this fan, you just need to remove your glove box and the bottom fan cover which is a large black plastic cover which is held in by clips. To remove the cover, find the clips under the glove box area and slide the clip towards you on all three clips, upon doing so the entire panel will pop out. You need a 8mm socket to undo three screws. The installation process is very easy. The fan looks slightly different than the OEM fan that came with the car. If you look at the photos I attached you can compare notes. Upon installing the fan, it became very noticeable that this fan is MUCH stronger than the OEM fan that came with the car. In the past, I have replaced four cabin fans. Each non-OEM fan was slightly less powerful but still worked. This one has quite a bit of pressure to it when it's running. The fan EXCEEDED my expectations, greatly. All the screw holes ligned up in the right places and the fan was easy to mount, other fans I have installed were finicky as it was difficult to get a rubber seal to seat between the fan and the cabin filter. In this case the rubber grommet is inset in the chassis of the fan.I would highly reccomend this fan, it's a fraction of the price of the dealer and works better than the stock OEM fan.

quiet OEM replacement on the cheap
the OEM blower motor on my subie sounded like my fanbelt was 'chirping'. at high speeds, sure it was fine, but at low speeds it was super annoying and loud enough to hear without blasting the sound system. so i could pay $200+ for an OEM replacement, or take a risk on this one. totally paid off! it was 100% plug & play replacement - pull the shrouding clips, 4 screws (8mm hex) and the electrical connector. the whole thing took about 10 min. now it's quiet, possible a bit stronger, and WAY cheaper. total win! can't speak to longevity on this bad boy just yet, but if it doesn't last and i have to replace it i'm still spending way less money and i'm coming back!
