Shipped fast and works great. I smelled a couple copper ingots with it out of stripped wire and tubing. Everything worked perfectly. The tongs leave a little something to be desired but they do work. I'll probably use my welding gloves the next time I use it. The gloves in the kit work but they aren't great. Over all though I'm very pleased and would recommend this to a friend.

This thing is a boss. I have the 6kg model, and I love this furnace. I mainly melt aluminum, but I have melted copper and lead on occasion. I wish I had purchased the bigger model because, this being my first furnace, I fell in love with the hobby!

DO NOT USE THIS AS SHIPPED.1. The furnace is not stainless steel. It's regular mild steel that appears to be coated with nickel (can't tell, could be zinc).2. More importantly, the ceramic wool is not treated in any way. It MUST be treated/coated with something. This particular item just has a piece of raw ceramic wool (that started falling into pieces during sipping). While it will affect durability, the bigger issue are the health hazards. During use, the fibers will be blown all over the place. When inhaled, they have the same health risks as asbestos (mesothelioma, etc.).Coating the wool is not rocket science, and you can do that at home for under $100, but the item as sold is unfinished (and misrepresented).
