It's sturdy, not terribly expensive, and easy to move around. I actually intend to buy a second one in order to make a small obstacle course of balance challenges.What I noticed immediately is (a) it's challenging and requires strength and balance if you want to stay on and (b) both my ankles and my pelvic floor got a workout.I think this is a great tool for anyone who wants to build both core strength and balancing skills. It is pretty short though, so consider buying two and putting a balance pad or mat in between them (or anything else that could help you to construct a mini obstacle course).LOVE THIS!

Great quality, and easy to use.

This is very narrow, but I knew that buying it. Despite having pretty good balance I can't walk on this without holding the wall, but it's not really long enough to do much walking. I got the balance beam to help with my nearly constant heel pain. Standing on the thin, round wooden bar really has helped to strength and strengthen my feet. I very rarely have any pain now, and if I do have mild pain, I just stand on here for a few moments and it's gone. The profile of this balance beam is very small, and it's quite sturdy. I'm about 250 lbs, and it doesn't bend or move when I walk on it. I recommend gripping socks or bare feet to avoid slipping.

The media could not be loaded. Bought for kids but I use it myself. It is a helpful tool to calm, center, and focus the body. And it gives my feet a good stretch. Sturdy and good investment.

This balance beam has been wonderful! I've been in physical therapy working on a foot that's had me in a lot of pain. We used balance beams there, and I decided to purchase one for home. It has helped a great deal, I have very little pain now. I think because it's narrow and rounded it just stretches and works muscles of the foot that are maybe hard to target. I actually bought a second one as it is a little short especially once you learn to balance well. It's really been helpful and I've noticed much improvement since I started using it. I would recommend!

Good for balance, foot strength and working on those little muscles that make walking easier even years after a stroke. I noticed rapid improvement when I started using this and notice also when I don't use it enough. I set it in an area I pass through frequently and use it as I go by throughout the day. It's fun, too!
