Does the job and looks nice
This is just standard RAM. It works perfectly at its stated speed and voltage so think of it as a 5-star rating if that is all that matters to you. I like to push hardware to the limits when I first get it, just to see what it can do. It's nice to know that there's some overhead and it has some performance headroom up its sleeve as it ages. Well you can't overclock this RAM at all, whereas the 3-year old Kingston Value RAM I have (which looks very basic with no flashy heatspreaders or fancy logos) overclocks very well in the same machine. I actually only needed the 4GB to upgrade my mum's PC, so that is where this is going. There is no plan to give her my bog-standard Kingston RAM and keep this nice-looking stuff for myself, not anymore anyway! But for construction, packaging and doing its job at stock settings, there is nothing to fault here really.

I have a very weak 2x pci-e slots, duo core 2, 512mb ati 1650 system
I have decided not to buy a new system to replace my current 250gb, 2x 2gb pci-e ddr2 slots (old school, I know)512mb ati 1650(rubbish with modern and old games it was fine until the constant updates over the years to fix MAJOR FLAWS in vista 32bit home edition) so I decided to see what kind of upgrades I could find for this "out of date os system, to my surprise major manufactorers still manufactor ddr2 pci-e based products with 3 to 4 times better performance than ever beforefor instants 2 x 512mb ram standard now 2x 2gb ram which uses 3gb which is good enough If I might add, 1650 512mb ati to the gt 240 2gb ddr2 pci-e and I am upgrading my hdd to 500gb which is MORE than enough for MORDERN PROGRAMMES anything more is over kill, and 450w power supply from 230w, all for less then £300Now I have a modern spec gaming system which should now last for 5 years atleast Awsome !!!!! well worth saving old system.ps I will be upgrading to 64bit windows 7 professional which should increase performance by up to 3x as much AWSOME STUFF THIS RAMM IS PERFECT FOR BUDGET GAMERS ALIKE 10/10

Good Performance - Corsair 4GB 800MHz C5 DDR2 Memory Kit
I built my PC back in 2007 on a strict budget. Therefore at the time I could only afford 1GB total RAM (in the form of 2 x 512MB XMS2 Corsair matched pair RAM sticks). This was OK but my system was a bit slow. I also had issues recently that my system would not boot properly or suddenly crash. I thought that this could be due to a faulty RAM chip, so I decided to upgrade. I decided to purchase this product as it has the same chipset (XMS2) as I already had in my system. My system is now thrice as fast as before! I would certainly recommend upgrading RAM to at least 3GB for any system and this RAM does the job. I now have 5GB of RAM in my system, but don't forget 32bit Operating Systems (OS) can only use 3GB. When a system is upgraded to a 64bit OS it can then use all the available memory. Therefore don't go mad buying all the memory under the sun.

Corsair is a very safe choice for stability.
Took over a week to arrive but it was pre-xmas time. Memory was installed and tested using memtest86. It passed all tests with zero errors. Computer hasn't crashed at all (not that it did before) and this is a good sign. DDR2 memory is about 3 times the cost of DDR3 memory at the time of writing. I have choosen to stick with my machine buying 8Gb of this memory in the hope of missing out DDR3 memory altogether and buying a new mainboard when DDR4 memory comes out in 1-2 years. I am a gamer with a quad core 3Ghz processor and it works just fine with high frame rates with COD and WOW. In this, it made sense to buy 8Gb of this memory as 8Gb is more than ample for games and is likely to be so for at least two years.

Brilliant memories!
I found this product to be as good as I can expect from a design perspective - it does what it says on the tin and has allowed me to upgrade my computer and play games at higher quality settings. I had 3GB before, adding these has given me and extra .25GB in Win XP but as they are higher frequency (800Mhz as opposed to 667Mhz), I was able to play games at better settings without a performance hit. In Win 7 64 bit, I get the full benefit of these sticks and Crysis plays much better! The only down side is you can forget about trying to OC these sticks, PC won't boot up with these at a fraction above 800Mhz

Corsair XMS2-6400-C5 4GB 800MHz kit review
I needed to update my PC from 2GB RAM to 4GB (as maximum for my motherboard) and I did not have to think it twice when I saw this. It is one of the few that come at a good price, easy installation (it even include instructions) and after I had it installed my computer found it straight away.To make sure you get the most of this, I'd recommend a 64-bit Operation System. I moved from a 667 MHz to this 800MHz and Windows 7 64-bit and I can run more applications at easy and also the gaming performance has increased by a great amount. If you are searching for a good DDR2 upgrade then this is one of the best choices. As for delivery, I ordered and obtained my product extremely fast! And my gaming world became once more fun and less sluggish :)

Does what it says on the tin/advertisement
Bought this ram for an aging beast, HP desktop. removed the 2GB [4x512] and plonked this into the channels. booted up and away it went.. BIOS recognised it all fine and windows XP is now performing better and faster.. It is a fact that XP con not recognise more than 3.5GB of RAM and so I suspect that we may not even be getting he most out of this RAM yet.. it's time to try a Win 7 install and see if the rest of the PC can cope. I am confident that the RAM will handle it great.

Good but maybe a typo
Please correct me if I am wrong but I was always told that W7 32 bit could only address 3Gb of ram and that is exactly what my Dell XPS came with.As I was upgrading the system and going to W7 64 bit I thought I would upgrade the ram. My ram score on the windows experience index was 5.9. with the Dell (2 X 1Gb and 2 X 512Mb ram modules) Using these new ones I now have 6GB (the original 2 X 1 Gb and these shiny new 2 X 2 Gb). The experince index has gone to 7.1 but the whole machine feels quicker especialy with processing video. The title states Twin2X4096. Surely this is a typo and you do get 2x2048 which is what I expected.Edit: I see the typo has been corrected.
