14mm drill bit needed.
Great product, fairly easy to install, youll need a 14mm drill bit, and a few spanner’s. Seems well made and sturdy. I positioned mine 30cm above patio doors, lots of room for the opening/closing of the doors. The pitch is adjustable from nearly dead straight to around 30/40 degrees downwards. Winding handle is on the left hand side looking at it and can’t be changed.Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

Great product, but shop around for deals
This awning is excellent. Well built, really sturdy in light breeze and clearly built to last. Opening and closing easy enough and installing was simple. The only thing I would change are the fixings. This comes with reverse bolts which just aren't strong enough and started to pull out of the wall as soon as the awning was attached. I replaced them with 100m anchor bolts which are literally bomb proof.Price wise - we paid £270 for the 3m one. Two weeks later we bought a 3.5m one from ManoMano because the prices on Amazon were through the roof. The larger model only cost £190 (Same manufacturer, same factory, same instructions, same build)I'll update this review if the seller decides to price match this for me!

Love this canopy, great quality, looks amazing.
We love this canopy. Made such a difference to our decking area. Great quality, easy to put up, although we bought stronger fixings than the ones supplied, which didn’t seem substantial enough. We also added some poles to the ends so we can have it out even in strong winds. We just got some cheap metal poles from b&q and attached some spring clips to either end (secured with a screw to hold in place) and then screwed in decking hooks either end to fasten them to. They work a treat and cost pennies!

Well made
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the frame, mechanism and operation. As noted by several other reviewers the fixing bolts are just not up to the job and strongly recommend not even trying them but buying some superior rawl bolts.Went up quite easily (job for two) but essential to get the fixings really level. Had a small panic when first opened it out to find it was quite lop-sided getting worse the further out. I thought the angles came pre-set, but the problem was resolved by adjusting one side at a time until level when fully open. This was a bit fiddly and took a few attempts as you can't tell until extended but have to make the adjustment and tighten up when collapsed before extending, but once done and locked tight it was fine.Only had it up a few weeks so will see how it fairs in the weather, but can now BBQ in the rain !.

Watch out for the wind
We got it assembled after a lot of time and effort, but now it's up we love it. But if its windy, it looks like its going to take off. So to be on the safe side, we leave it closed..It really keeps our decking cool as we don't like the heat. Can sit out there now and not cook.. My dog enjoys it in the shade too.

Quality awning
This awning is of a very good quality for the price. The fabric is strong, the brackets and arms are all very sturdy, and the fixings of a good quality. It takes some time to measure, drill holes and put it up, and you definitely need two people and two ladders. A 14mm masonry drill bit is required. The awning can be angled once it's up, but minimally. I think it could be angled a little further, but the structure does not allow for this. It has changed the look of our patio, in a positive sense, dramatically and when the sun is hot and strong, creates a perceivably cooler temperature in the affected room. The grey awning looks good against red brick, is not too dark(which would absorb heat) , and not too light(which would soil easily). All in all we're very happy with it.

Great product
Lovely product but instructions poor and bolts to secure cheap and nasty. Had to purchase better bolts. But quality is excellent

You will need someone to help you put this up and mark out to ensure it is level.
Good quality product that was easy to install. The only issue was you do need someone with you to help mark it out and get the actual awning up once you have secured the brackets. However, it is easy to install and so far has been great to use. Feels and looks sturdy and great value
