No more worry about distilled water
During the pandemic, distilled water disappeared from the shelves. When I could get it, the price had gone up by 50pct (!!!).Now the pandemic is over, the availability of distilled water is spotty, in my area.So I bought this condenser. It is fantastic. Easy to use and clean up. I don't get too much residue in the device after the process has completed.Takes a good while. A couple or 3 hours to complete. But the water is ready to use for all of my steam irons and presses. For me clean up is just a cup of hot water and a dash of the provided cleaner and the residue is gone.So I am saving 2 dollars per gallon on distilled water and it will pay for itself in another 3 months.

It works well
It works efficiently and it’s a lot cheaper than most other similar products. After processing, the water taste a lot better than before as you can see in the picture, I only use it once and that’s what left in the water. The materials are good, therefore no weird smells at all. Overall an useful product. Some suggestions:The instructions needs to be more detailed. The “on” button didn’t work as another reviewer said. The only way to open the cap is remove it. It’s heavy and the water drips may cause a safety hazard (if the on button works)The noise was too loud for small apartments. Use it when no ones at home or in another room.

Works well, but not quite as expected. Build quality is not quite up to spec.
I thought it was odd that the first time I operated the device, I had forgotten to press the ON button. Maybe that wasn't so surprising. The light on the front was not seated into the skin - I could have pulled the light with its wiring out of the machine. The fan assembly needed to be disassembled and some washers added under the motor tip it towards the center of the duct, keeping the fan from hitting the duct (makes a lot of noise otherwise). For the second run, I plugged it into a P4400 Kill-A-Watt appliance power meter. Except for the machine drawing 700 Watts as soon as it was plugged in (confirming pushing the ON button wasn't required), there were no surprises (700-725W, 0.99 PF, 2.88kWHr/3.5Hr).Because starting the machine did not require pushing the start button, I don't trust it to stop on its own sometime after 3.5 hours. (I think "stopping" really means "it's evaporated away all the water"). When using this device, put it on a timer for 3.5 Hrs.Stopping while there is enough water inside to cover the bottom reduces scale deposits - simply dump the remaining water and rinse out the lower portion. When opening the machine, wait 15 minutes after unplugging - there's still lots of really hot steam inside.

Don't buy if you're looking for longevity
I have enjoyed using this up until about a week ago, it's been 8 months of regular use and making about a gallon of water a day, previously I had a waterwise distiller which lasted approximately 5 yrs before breaking down irreparably which prompted me to start looking for a replacement and I found this one, this unit worked great for 8 months and now will stop in the middle of operation and have to be started over several times, usually products have a one year warranty but I'm being told by Amazon that I'm just out of luck.

Easy distilled water
very simple to use! Fill it with water, put the jug under the drip spout and plug it in.It takes about 3 hours to make a gallon. The water has zero flavor which is great. I use distilled water for my expresso machine , my aero garden and my cpap machine.I live in Nevada so the tap water here is crazy hard! I use the filtered water from the fridge door in this machine. Even with filtered water you wont believe the amount of gook thats left behind. Clean up is easy, I use a touch of white vinegar and water, let it sit in there for an hour and then scrub it out with a scouring sponge.I’m really happy with this purchase.

Garbage...no too harsh, but very disappointing...
I've been using water distillers for over 30 yr & over that time I have had some bad ones. Add this one to that list. I accept the fact that there will be some loss of water vapor due to evaporation...but a full third of a gallon!? I've added a second seal & I've weighted the fan down. It doesn't help. There are positives...it distills quickly & the water is very clean tasting. There just isn't enough of it. I use distilled water for making coffee, tea & for mixing my nutritional powders & liquids...so I'm using it everyday. I have another machine that is more efficient so I'll keep this as a back-up. I can't recommend it as your primary distiller, though.

Good Solution
It's noisy but extremely easy to use and works faster than expected. The reason I bought this is because I need distilled water for my CPAP machine's humidifier. During the pandemic, I have been ordering my groceries online for home delivery, and distilled water is almost always out of stock. It will take awhile to recover the cost of the distiller as opposed to buying bottled distilled water, but now I never have to buy bottled distilled water again and don't have to worry about running out.

Good Enough
I have another water distiller from another manufacturer and this one is pretty different even though they look almost identical. This one has a pretty loose seal and it is easy to not get the top on crooked; always double check before starting the distiller.I have a home water tester because the water in my area is so heavy with minerals and this distiller cleans the water to 95% which is pretty good. My other distiller has a much tighter seal and comes out at 99%, but 95% is still really good. This distiller takes less time and uses less water for a full tank.It works well and will give you good clean water
