Swimming pool solar panel

This is awesome in the hot days. I don't have a thermometer unfortunately but the pool water easily got to mid-20's, although it's only a 8ft round x 3ft deep, by great for the kids (and parents!). Only slight annoyance is I can't find roof mounts for this, would be great to get this on the roof on our bungalow.

THIS MOT A SOLAR PANEL, IT IS A HEAP OF USELESS PLASTIC TUBiNG THAT LEAKS!Worst £150 I have ever spent!. It I not a solar panel at all, this seller provides misleading information. I wasn’t expecting a bath tub, just to take the chill off. In the UK heatwave nothing! However, a solar pool cover at a fraction of the price did a much better job!Should have scrolled down through all the reviews.Don’t by because if you contact.the seller you will be met with ‘what’s wrong with it? You will have more expense of the return and hassle we had was quite simply was not worth it!We have persevered, but this product leaks from the tubes and is not fit for purpose, well it did a nice job of watering the paving. It was more of an irrigation system!

We have been using this solar pool heater for about 2 weeks and it is very effective in our 15 foot circular above ground pool. The water depth is 45 inches and we use a solar cover at night and when the pool is not in use. The temperature of the pool rises significantly. We are running the water through our standard Intex pool filter pump and skimmer system and it works really well but you do need to note certain things:1. You need to be able to site the panel adjacent to the pool pump using your existing pipes plus the short piece of piping they provide. (50cm)2. 20 feet is quite long and it needs to be in the sun as much of the day as possible. When the sun isn't on it, turn it off and cover the pool with a solar cover or your heat will just go! The heat builds up day on day.3. You are advised not to lay the panel directly on the grass but the kit to mount it is expensive. We found that a cheap piece of Lidl weed suppressant membrane is just the right size to put under it and allow it to be slid side to side for mowing around it.4. Make sure everyone knows not to stand on it, this is not that sturdy a piece of kit. It is well worth the money and I have no doubt it will last with care but it would crack if walked on.5. Keep the box! It must be rolled up and put away for winter, the cold weather would kill it!

I'm UK based & on a good sunny day my 12ft round pool has reached an overall temperatures of 31° (I have a 1500g filter pump attached).It doesn't come with a mounting kit, so I made a wooden frame to mount it to the fence.

we have a 10m wide pool and I was dubious that this solar panel would be able to heat the water, but after just a couple of hours the pool was warm enough for even me to get in it!

absolute waste of money

Very poor connections fail so panels leak. Neither Amazon nor the panel suppliers (Steinbach) will help. We bought 6 - one leaked on delivery the others have ALL failed as the connections are so weak - held together by a pair of small bayonet plastic lugs about 4mm diameter and under great stress. Once one snaps (which happens easily) the whole panel is a waste of time and it cannot be repaired. While it heats the water well the instructions are incorrect as regards connecting and the system cannot be repaired as it is made of polythene and there is no glue that will stick that together.Avoid wasting your money - don't buy these items - if I could give zero stars I would.
