Great Prop!
These columns look so real in photos, that I thought I was getting multidimensional columns. Instead, these are flat cardboard that you tape together. Which, now that I go back to reread the listing, I do see that’s what is described; it just shows how good they look. And they do!I was able to tape them together in no time, and they are fairly sturdy. They do need to be taped to something, though; they can’t stand on their own.Overall, I’m very happy with this backdrop prop!

NOT FREESTANDING
They do NOT stand on the floor. (as it says in the description ) They are just flat poster board that are printed to look 3D and they come in separate sections and you must tape them together and then tape them to something like the wall or door frame. I thought they possibly folded into a square so they could stand up, but they do not. $20 a little bit much for what you get, I would say $10 at the most.

Don’t buy
This is paper and I didn’t have all the items to even put it together. This was a waste of money.

Check the size
Good price for the money and it worked for the event I needed it. But they are not realistic, and I bought a smaller size than the door frame I was supposed to put them on. Easy to assemble.

Tall enough to be on the sides of a door frame
Worked well for VBS decor

Why the Holes?
I plan to use these Roman columns to decorate my classroom for an upcoming unit on ancient Roman civilization. In my head, I was looking for something that had hinges for folding. When I saw that this one had holes for “splicing“ I thought that’s what it might be. There seems to be no purpose for the holes unless you plan to put four thumb tacks at each connection. I personally think that would look tacky. The holes are not big enough for normal school fasteners/brads, so I’m a bit perplexed as to why they are even there. As other reviewers have said, these will need to be taped together and should be up against a flat wall for structure. Personally, I feel like $20 is a bit much for printed tag board but I guess it beats me drawing them and making them myself.

These come folded and in several sections, so they do not hang flat on a wall. I ended up tossing them after one use.
