I have had a few Weber kettle grills over the years and they stand up to a lot of use. I love the way the kettle shape cooks food with the lid on. There is nothing I do not like about this grill. The size is perfect for two and big enough if cooking for a small group.

For the most part this is a perfect grill if you are into charcoal or wood chunks.1- It seems to seal pretty well as I never see smoke coming out from under the cover.2- You have top and bottom vents, the bottom vents are actually dual purpose, not sure that is even noted in the description but you can open them for ash removal and for air.3- The ash catcher is also a grease catcher. However, there is a downfall here. The handle is screwed into the catcher. So if you happen to have the issue I did where it was leaking grease, make sure to tighten the screw or use some kind of seal. That is for partial star loss.The rest of the star loss is either a manufacture defect or a weird design. As it all works I didn't bother contacting the company but the top is lopsided. I do not mean its not round like it should be but the placement of what's on the lid. Like if you look at the top, the handle is not directly on top, it is actually to the side a little bit. I also think that the metal to the handle is either bent or shaped weirdly as it also makes the handle lean a bit to the side of where its already placed to the side. So I honestly do not know if it is manufacturer related in the build, or if it is in the design. Either way, it bothers my OCD every time I see it.

Great Product

The directions were extremely difficult to follow. This grill took HOURS to put together. They use mostly pictures to show how to assemble and use very few words. We had to take it apart twice and re-do it because we had put it together incorrectly due to the unclear instructions. If we could have easily returned it, we would have returned it.Also, I do not like the unattached lid. You hang the lid on a hook on the side of the grill while cooking, which IS easier to do than I thought it would be. However, this made it challenging to season any meat that was under the lid as the lid hung on the grill. The other option would have been to put the lid on the grass or patio, which I did not want to do since I put the lid back on the grill while cooking.On a positive note, the grill is a great size and holds a lot of charcoal. It cooks the meat and vegetables well.

This is a really great charcoal grill for the summer. Nothing gives the great taste to steak and burgers and chicken like real charcoal. Gas just never has the same flavor so it is great to have this grill on the patio for the few times I grill meat. It was easy to put together and has worked well so far. Also has a great look to it but it isn't the heaviest and sturdiest grill so you have to baby it and not leave it outside in the winter.

This grill is right on par with its Weber counterpart. The steel construction is nice and thick and the lid fits on well and doesn't allow any smoke to get out. It definitely came with a lot of pieces, but a little patience will go a long way.
