One month later, no leaks!
It has been about a month since this seal was installed, and it's working great so far. No leaks at all. Just be careful not to install the seal too far in at the top. At the bottom, there is a catch to prevent the seal from going in further, but there is none at the top. If you do hit it too far in like I did, just hit the bottom part multiple times until it starts to spring back out a little. I've also installed a fel-pro valve cover gasket and that seal has also been holding up well.
