Hazel Blomkamp's designs are so intricate and detailed that the closer you look, the more you see. Each one of these designs is a major project with a fantastic payoff. She stretches the definition of "crewelwork" to encompass seed beads, cotton threads, and the illusion of dimension. Phenomenal projects to really challenge an embroiderer's skill!

Pre ordered this book and it arrived on the release date. While the projects in this book are not for the faint of heart, they are beautifully illustrated and incorporate a lot of different stitch techniques. The directions are very detailed. With patience and a bit of effort, they should come out amazing. . Looking forward to tackling several of them. .

I have all the supplies to do three of these designs. They are so beautiful. Complicated and technical but that is half the fun.

Los proyectos son espectaculares pero se queda corto en la explicación de las técnicas de bordado, no subtitula todos las imágenes, es complejo entenderle, creo que se queda la mitad de las explicaciones en la cabeza del autor y hay que hacer pruebas para entender cómo se hace, sobre todo con las direcciones.Para poder hacer el bordado tuve que comprar los videos de las técnicas en el sitio web del autor, ahí si quedó claro cómo se hace. Le faltan fotos detalladas del proceso de bordado.Problemas con la versión Kindle: sin posibilidad de imprimir los patrones, permite hacer un número limitado de copias y no se sabe cuántas son hasta que no deja volver a copiar.

Love doing the patterns, hard to find supplies but still trying but I still love what I have made.

I have many of Hazels books and this one is my favorite. She takes you through the techniques step by step. Whether you are a beginner or advanced in needlepoint her book line is great.

This books shows how you can use what are thought of as 'crewel' stitches in a whole new way. Wonderful illustrations and great projects.
