Perfect Camera
This thing in immaculate... well worth the price I paid for it!! I used it a couple of times to film road cycling trips with my club and it didn't take long for me to get the hang of it. Everyone loves the final edits that the AI in the app generated for me... I can't overstate how fantastic the ecosystem is, and I absolutely love being able to select the video quality whenever downloading content to my phone. The camera size is perfect, and the single touchscreen is awesome. This is my very first GoPro and I'm happy that I waited this long to get one because this model is perfect for me, both in size and video quality. My only gripe is how hot it can get when doing pretty much anything at all with the camera... but that hasn't been a real bother. I especially like the single button operation, where I can conveniently start and stop recording during the rides. This helps save battery life, recording space, and prevents the camera from overheating. So, when the camera isn't recording, it goes into power save mode... but I can quickly start recording just by pressing that single button.

Bought this after my hero 9 stopped working
After my GoPro HERO9 stopped working, I decided to upgrade to the GoPro HERO12 Black, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Here’s my take on this action camera: **Video Quality:** The HERO12 Black truly delivers on its promise of stunning visuals. The 5.3K60 Ultra HD video capability captures incredible detail and smooth motion, making it perfect for both action-packed adventures and more casual footage. The dynamic range and color accuracy are impressive, even in challenging lighting conditions. **Photo Quality:** The 27MP photo resolution is a game-changer compared to my HERO9. The images are crisp, vibrant, and professional-looking, making it a versatile tool for both photography and videography. **Build and Durability:** As expected from GoPro, the HERO12 Black is tough and built to last. The waterproof design (up to 33ft/10m) works flawlessly, giving me confidence when using it for underwater shots or in rough weather conditions. **Features:** GoPro has packed this camera with a host of useful features, including advanced stabilization, horizon leveling, and slow-motion capabilities. The user interface feels more intuitive than the HERO9, making it easier to navigate settings and modes. **Battery Life:** The improved battery life is noticeable. I can record longer sessions without worrying about recharging frequently, which was one of my frustrations with the HERO9. **Upgrading Experience:** While I was disappointed when my HERO9 stopped working, the HERO12 Black feels like a significant step up in both quality and functionality. It’s a worthy replacement that exceeds my expectations. **Value for Money:** Although it’s a bit pricey, the performance and feature set justify the cost. If you’re serious about capturing high-quality videos and photos, the HERO12 Black is a worthwhile investment. **Final Thoughts:** The GoPro HERO12 Black is a stellar action camera that checks all the boxes for adventure enthusiasts, vloggers, and casual users alike. If you’re upgrading from an older model or diving into the world of action cameras for the first time, this is a fantastic choice!

Favorite GoPro so far!
Works very well. I upgraded from the 9 to the 12 and there's definitely a difference. So many different options for recording and photos and easy to navigate. Its been COVERED in cold snow, mud, dirt roads and has held up so well. I'd recommend.

Doesn't include necessary parts to record video, additional purchases are required,
Does include components to actually record videos! Cheap American tech company. Amazon doesn't recommend buying the necessary SD Card either. Here is Amazon response: You're 100% right—that's a major miss on Amazon's part! For an essential accessory like a microSD card that the camera literally cannot function without, it absolutely should be front and center in the "Frequently bought together" or "Customers also purchased" sections on the product page. What makes this worse: The camera won't record a single second without an SD card Most first-time buyers won't know this until they open the box It creates a frustrating Christmas morning experience when you can't use your new camera Amazon typically excels at suggesting necessary add-ons. In addition unlike most of the crap that can be delivered same day (like cabinet hardware) an SD card takes 4 days! Ri]diculous.

Smaller than I thought(good)
Make sure to get the app, the quality on the camera screen doesn’t look as good when you reply videos, but when you download them or play them on your phone it drastically changes. It’s a great camera. You get what you pay for. It’s easy to use, it’s worth it, the stability isn’t as great as that of a hero black 8 but for the tiny camera and what it’s worth it’s not too bad

Awesome Little Rig!!
I bought this camera as a Prime Day deal. I make some small highlight videos for my church and business, so I thought this would be a great little camera to shoot with. It produces gorgeous video, first of all. I strapped it to my motorcycle and the anti-vibe/stability feature is awesome. It is smooth as can be and the audio recording is solid, too. The battery life is pretty weak. I hate the menus and the forced connectivity to a phone...just work out of the box, please. I was so irritated that I had to sync it up and update the firmware before I could ever use it. Between that and the confusing menus, I deducted one star. It still makes great video and pairs with a stabilizing jig really well.

Awesome video quality! Upgraded from GoPro 3 to the GoPro 12. WOW!
I had been using the GoPro 3 for some YouTube video and other projects. I decided it was time to upgrade. And...... WOW! What a huge difference! The video quality and stabilization is amazing in comparison. This camera also has many different effects, aspect modes and audio options. Audio: The audio of the camera itself is OK, but not as good as I liked for my purposes. I like to do some interview style videos. For someone just interested in just action, who is not super concerned with audio the camera microphone would be OK. BUT... The audio was a big concern of mine as well, so I ended up upgrading with Media mod and Rode Wireless Pro microphones to further up my game. Highly recommend if you are looking to up your audio game. Battery life: You will need batteries for this camera if you plan on doing any extended recording. Especially with a media mod. It really seems to eat up battery charge with the added mod. Highly recommend having a few on hand. Heat: The camera is meant to be moving, hence action camera. IT will heat up if setup stationary on a tripod. I have not had issues with overheating, but see the potential if filming in excessive heat stationary. Overall: Highly recommend if you are trying to do YouTube or other Videos. Enjoy! Have Fun!! Originally I tried to go on a budget and just get the camera. Looking back I should have gone for the "creator package" which includes the media mod, extended battery/tripod and light mod and some other assesories. For the money it would have worked out better in the end for me.

The stabilization is amazing!
Sorry I don't know how to edit videos yet so I can't show you what I will be talking about yet. I recently bought the hero 12 kinda by accident. I wanted to buy one but I didn't want to spend the money though. I had put a camera and a sd card in my cart and forgot about it, well I needed some vacuum bag rolls to freeze something, anyway I bought the go pro with that, oops. I have purchased a few other cameras to mount to my motorcycle, needless to say I was buying the cheapest I could that seemed to be ok. Well they weren't. When I mounted them to my bike the image quality was just terrible. I ride a Harley and I don't know if it was vibrations from that, or the stabilization wasn't up to snuff. I figured because I had the go pro in hand I would at least try it and if it didn't do what I wanted I could send it back. Well it works great. That is all I have to say about it. I haven't even gone into the more advanced set up features; and, I made my first video this morning and I was shocked at how smooth the video capture was. The colors were normal, I mean it looked like it did when I saw it with my own eyes, so I'm good with that. The purpose of the camera is to document if anything happens while I'm riding and it does that very well. I really didn't want to spend that much, but I will be keeping the Hero 12 Black and I am looking forward to learning how to use it better. The 25% off makes it a little easier to swallow buying one. I've looked at them for awhile and the price is reasonable in the end. I have a 256GB micro sd for now but it will take up to a terabyte if I want to spend the money, for long rides. End of the story is basically, I love this camera after one use and look forward to using it more. If I can't get the wife to come with me, I can make her watch the videos of the trip at least. Great camera so far, I'm curious to see how it handles a rain storm but I say buy it! I can't wait to figure out how to bluetooth it to the mic on my helmet for voice commands and to see if I will be able to narrate that way while I am riding. It has so many features that it will take me awhile to learn all of them and get the camera set up to do everything I want, or it is at least capable of. Not unhappy I bought it, still kinda expensive, but with these kinds of things you truly get what you pay for.
