I ordered this item to replace the screen on my daughters Iphone 4s. it came with all of the parts needed for the surgery. the tools were a little flimsy but worked just fine. It takes patience It is a tedious task to replace the unit. It does come with very detailed instructions. I suggest to watch some you-tube videos before attempting to replace the screed to familiarize yourself with the procedure. there are a lot of tiny screws and very small ribbon cables that if the screws get lost or you pinch a cable you may be screwed. The new screen had a pulsing when first powered up but after having it on for about 2 hours the pulsing stopped and it works great.

This is well put together! I'm using the phone that was repaired to write this review. The steps are extremely time consuming and I would agree with other reviews mark and label EVERYTHING! It did take about one and a half hours to complete and we are pleased to say this worked for us. The tools this comes with are the saving grace and are SO needed. You must have patience! I was terrified to attempt this and thought about just getting another phone. I'm glad I gave this a try. The screen itself is fabulous and clear just like brand new! By far one of the best products I've purchased in a long time. I'd give this ten stars if I could.

OK the good news first. It was somewhat easy to install. And it works very well. But not following the enclosed directions or provided tools. To say they were poorly made is a gross understatement. The pentalop tool was too large and the Phillips screwdriver was too small and shaped wrong. If you are buying this "kit" because of the tools save your money and just buy the screen assembly. Buy the tools from someone else. As I was in the middle of my repair when I noticed that the provided tools would not work and would have quickly stripped the head I ended up using an old set of jewlery tools. Also don't even think about following the enclosed directions only - I used "I Fixit" directions on the web and found them detailed enough and diagramed enough to follow along with success. I think in the future (if I must do this again) I will order the cheapest screen on-line, test it prior to fully disassembling the phone. My understanding of the cheapest screens is the potential of getting a dead screen. If it works I'll install.

This screen repair kit was pretty nice overall. The included tool kit was high quality, although the pentalobe screwdriver didn't work quite perfectly. I had another one from a battery pack I was putting in at the same time and it worked better. The tools overall were very nice for a one time job. Plus they were magnetic which made this job much easier. As far as the screen, it fit like OEM parts. I really appreciate that. I think the display might be a little washed out or faded, I can't really tell, and it isn't bad enough for me to worry about at all. I wish it would have come with the home button and the little screen that fits over the ear speaker, but those were easy enough to switch from the old screen. The main thing that prevents this from being a five star product is the included instructions. They were printed on nice paper, but the pictures were really small and really dark. Plus the step by steps weren't clear enough to make up for this. No worries, though, the web has loads of instructions for free and I found some stellar ones.

So glad I went this route instead of paying $100 for someone else to fix my phone. Just sorry I waited almost a year to do it. I am a SAHM, not particularly savvy with sort of thing but I do like a bargain and just couldn't fork over the money for a new screen replacement by a professonial without at least trying. It did take me a really long time. Over 3 hours. And I did rip the battery right off the bat...which was incredibly frustrating (though my own fault for being hasty and not reading directions). BUT I did succeed in replacing my cracked screen and after waiting a couple more days for a battery replacement (which only put me out another $10) I have a perfectly good phone again. Everything works. And I'm pretty proud of myself!The instruction booklet is good but I had to use youtube to really see what I needed to do.I would highly recommend this product.

The kit included almost everything (also need tweezers and a utility knife) needed to replace my smashed screen. I wasn't sure that I could pull it off, but I did it! I followed the advice of another reviewer and ordered the Magnetic HD Repair Flowchart/Mat to hold all the screws and pieces. So glad I got the mat to keep all those different size tiny screws in place and in order. I watched the recommended video before and during the process and my phone works and looks as good as new. It took me a long time, but I really took my time. Excellent product, the tools worked, and the video priceless.

I had a very bad experience with this product. It arrived on time (thanks to Amazon who fulfilled the order) and well packaged. It also contained all of the tools as mentioned. I followed the instructions and replaced my screen without bending the thin digitizer cable. After installing the replacement screen, I powered on my iphone 4S and the image was unstable. When I powered the camera on red pixels seemed over saturated as well. I took apart and reassembled the screen multiple times to no avail. I even switched back to my old cracked screen and it worked perfectly (aside from the cracks) so I know it wasn't me who messed up. Clearly something was wrong with the screen. I tried calling the phone number that is in the Urepair box but the number is not in service so I am just going through Amazon to handle the return which so far, has been another hassle but more so because dealing with UPS has proven an annoyance. But I wouldn't be going through this hell if the product just worked as intended. Ive order many many many items on Amazon and have never had issues EVER. This is the first time and it is also the first time I am providing feedback. I just ordered a screen from another vender on amazon and it works as intended. Was also half the price of this one. Stay away.
