Easy to use for embroidery painting

Just what I was looking for so that I could use my ballpoint embroidery points. I grew up watching my grandmother use one of these as she painted blocks used in her quilts. My only complaint about the nHoop is that this is alot larger than the ones she used which means you need to use a rather large piece of cloth in order for it to stay tight in the hoop.As for the blotters, I'm not impressed. They seem to be nothing more than a white paper shop towel. They are sufficient as a back layer between the metal hoop and fabric you are painting. They are not good for blotting the pens on though as they tear apart and the fibers could get in the ballpoint and keep the ball from rolling.Overall I'm pleased with the metal hoop but not impressed with the blotting cloths.

I used this product to do paint embroidery for my granddaughters' quilt that I am making her. I like that the metal part cleans well so there is no paint left on it when I want to change my blocks to do more painting. Also I like the blotters that came with it, they really help so there is no bleed thru.
