Favourite christmas gift!
This is a great toy for any octonauts fan, it hasn't left my sons side.Didn't pay full price, and don't think it's worth full price but for £18 it was a real bargain!Three toys in one, says lines from the programme when you shoot the slime out of it, which is a great hit!!There were even batteries in the toy.Had some great little things with it animals and a tow rope with a sucker on the end, which again was a great hit.

great for octonaut fan
My 4 year old loves hes new gup x, he has been playing with it for the whole day showing me all the things it can do, he has a fantastic imagination with it and he's very impressed, it makes sounds (quite alot actually) its fires slime (green discs) it has a sucer pully thing at the front, it comes apart (supposed to) has a little octo-ski that captain bionicles can sit in and get blasted out of the gup x. my son has taken it to bed with him tonight so he can play with it as soon as he wakes up,pros - does loads, i am very impressed. got it on amazon alot cheaper than its being sold for in the shops, cost us £25 with free delievery.cons - the large window at the front of the gup x keeps falling out and i have to keep putting it back in.recommend - at the price and for what you get i would definatly recommend :-)

Nice but comes apart too easily...
This toy is expensive but nice with lots of fun little pieces and characters/creatures. However, the windscreen in particular pops out constantly -- I mean I am putting it back in around 10 times per day. And my kids aren't particularly rough. That one bit is poorly designed and it is very frustrating when you spend this much on a toy.

A lot of money for very little
This is a lot of money for a toy that isn't very good quality, sadly last Octonaut I'll be buying. Two pieces don't stay together at all, plastic not good quality.mby hey, little man loves it

Great fun
My four year old grandson loves it . Lots of little devices and characters to stretch the imagination. Sturdy in construction,as one would expect from Mattell, colourful and instantly ready to use. Firing the " slime discs" was particularly popular.Deducted one star as I felt that it was a little overpriced

great for any octonaut fan
My son is a huge octonaut fan so he loves the gup x. The windscreen does come out now and again but so does the one on the gup A he has got, it seems sturdy to me just the same as gup A. It is alot bigger than the gup A but is at a very good price I have seen it for about 35 pound at argos so great value. I would definitely recommend this.

Very poorly designed and made
My 3-year-old son loves the Octonauts, and it was inevitable that he'd like the themed toys like this one. For his birthday and now Christmas he was given an Octopod and this Gup X. He does play with them, but it's so frustrating that they are incredibly poorly designed and of low quality manufacture. Here are a few problems:• The figures have to stand up in the Gup to drive it, but to do this you have to locate a hole in their foot onto a little bobble on the floor of the Gup, which is very fiddly to do. They always fall over and roll around rather than actually ride in it properly.• The figures are ridiculously out of proportion, so they don't stand up properly, esp. on a carpet. They can barely sit down too.• The back of the Gup is too stiff to open, and the screen at the front is too loose, so it keeps falling off.• The slime discs that come with the Gup have to be inserted from above, and so the screen must be opened to do this. It falls off (see above!) and by the time it's reloaded the pleasure of catching that moment has gone.• The little pieces that come with it are of very low quality and don't fit easily into the Gup. They just get discarded. All in all this looks like a big toy company trying to make a killing on a popular franchise, without anyone thinking about how a child might want to play with the toys. My son does still play with them, but could get so much more out of them if they actually worked properly. At least we didn't buy these at full price, but even so they are a rip off, compared to something like Lego or Playmobil which are much more robust and better designed. The makers definitely need to sound the Octo alert and hire some decent designers!

Excellent value for money
I bought this at a discounted price before xmas for my son. I wasn't sure what to expect when it arrived. Upon opening the box, it more than fulfilled expectations. It is large, well-made and substantial for rough play. My son, who is a huge Octonauts fan, loved it because it has different attachments, which include slime discs that you can fire at unsuspecting people.
