It was super difficult to find a large enough cage and pan depth for my gerbils as wood or plastic cages can easily be chewed and i’m super happy i found this cage, and while on the pricey side it’s worth it. The cage is almost 600sq inches which is great for my gerbils or hamsters and has a nice 9 inch glass base for burrowing. My only complaints are the cage top is inconvenient to take on and off for deep cleaning and all the little accessories they included i’m not going to use as my gerbils will just chew at the cheap plastic and the wheel is too small unless you have a mouse. Overall definitely recommend if it’s in your price range and you need a suitable barred cage for hamsters or gerbils!!

These enclosures are gorgeous and so big! They were one of a handful I came across while searching that had adequate floorspace for a hamster - 99% of the cages out there are inhumanely small. So while these look huge compared to typical hamster cages they’re actually what an individual hamster needs and should be housed in. I bought one for each of my two females. Setup was fairly simple and the parts feel solid and like they’re good quality. The bottom tanks are deep enough so they can burrow (I underestimated just how much bedding I’d need prior to setting these up so I have to buy more). My only complaint so far is that wheels are too small so I will have to replace them (reason for deducting a star).

The materials for this cage are very high quality (and heavy.) The size is great, very spacious. The problem comes in with assembly. It's not easy and the instructions are very vague. I still can't figure out the wheel. Also, I can't assemble the tubes because they came without the connectors. It's very frustrating. Also, when I get the gerbils and the bedding, it will soon come time to clean the cage, which I don't think will be easy. I'll have to lift off the metal top half which is heavy and difficult to put back on. It's a beautiful cage, but not well thought out.

This cage is absolutely amazing. We have 4 fancy mice in here and they have 9” depth for digging and burrowing. Plenty of space for hanging ropes, bridges and hammocks. We added an additional wheel and water bottle. I LOVE that the bottom half is a solid glass “tank” so you can see them burrowing and it is larger than the Prevue 528. I’ve never found a better enclosure for mice.

The media could not be loaded. Cage is a lot bigger than i expected But it is awesome! I still have to add to it for the vision i had was to have an add on but measurements was a little bigger than what it shows on the description photo doesn’t do it justice for in person but im very happy with my purchase!

A little hard to put together, but it’s really nice! Would recommend.

Objectively, there is nothing wrong with this cage, however! Do NOT buy this for a dwarf/other small hamster because it’s just too big. My hamster kept jumping off of the platforms because he struggled with the slippery ramps. Additionally, there is NO EASY WAY to clean it, like at all. Getting to the bottom forces you to contort your arm and it’s just not ideal. That’s why I took away one star. I have to try to resell my very expensive mistake because I cannot use it. Put the hamster in a 30gal long aquarium instead.

This cage is very big and heavy but the assembly of the actual cage itself was easy. My biggest gripe is that all of the accessories were made out of cheap plastic including the stairs. Which made it too slippery for my gerbils to climb up rendering it not functional to have anything placed on top. There weren’t any instructions on how to assemble the plastic pieces so it was all guesswork. Therefore wheel did not spin easily and the hideout was bent and so did not fit properly. Since my gerbils couldn’t utilise the stairs, they somehow climbed up the wire so it was deemed unsafe. Also they chew through everything, so I don’t think any of the cheap plastic would have survived. We ended up returning this cage, I’d recommend it for bigger rodents. I also do not think it would be easy to clean.
