We're trying some indoor gardening this winter in a little greenhouse we made off the side of our home - and very excited to grow some veggies and herbs for winter use, canning, teas, etc. This set is perfect for our little greenhouse work and the tools are impressive!The handles are solid wood and have a great feel to them - comfortable and not too big or heavy.The actual tool is steel and has a smooth, black coating - so far the dirt hasn't really "stuck" to any of the tools.I feel like these will certainly last for some time.I do plan on using them in our outdoor beds and gardens in the spring and summer too of course.But since we're working with smaller pots and flats right now, these are simply ideal! I keep some small raised beds on our deck in the summer too - these, again, will be perfect.The tools don't take a toll on my hands and I can use them for a while without any discomfort.They came packaged nicely too! I plan on sending these to a few of my gardening friends (and family) as gifts this year!

I have gone through multiple sets of aluminum garden tools for which I paid about the same price. After just a couple years of use the shaft of the trowels are bent. The tines are bent on the rake. I am looking forward to using the dibble to aid in planting as I have never had one before.If you look at the close up pictures the seller provides, you can see how well made these tools are which is why I ordered this set. The blade of the trowel is about 1/16" thick and solidly riveted to the 3/8" diameter shaft. The middle tine of the rake is 3/8" and the two outside tines are 1/4" diameter. The points are flattened. The point of the dibble is screwed into place. The wood handles are about 1 1/4" in diameter and shaped for a good grip. I have small hands, and these feel great to me.They come nicely packaged in a decorative box. I think any gardener would be happy to receive this lovely set as gift.

The quality of these tools far exceeded my expectations. The tools have a nice heft to them without being heavy. They just feel like quality tools. The wooden handles are comfortable and they look good.I had planned on using these with my indoor plants, but they really are too large. My largest pots are 6” and these tools are a bit much for that use.I 100% recommend these for outdoor gardening.

I found myself needing a few small garden tools for my herb garden, so I ordered this Japanese gardening tools set with hand trowel, dibble and hand rake. It is heavy duty and has a good nickel coating to keep dirt from sticking to it. It feels like a Teflon coating, but they claim it is nickel plated stainless. The trowel is a good size and has some depth measurements on it. The hand rake will be useful to loosen the soil, and the dibble will replace my pencil to help plant seeds. I am very pleased with this set, and it is a very reasonable price. A nice set of inexpensive yet well made gardening tools. These have well sized handles that make them feel comfy in hand, and the metal is sturdy and the joins and connections are solid. This is a case of what you see is what you get, and in the case of these tools, that is a plus. The metal is coated with something, that hopefully will help them survive in my hot and humid climate.I'm happy these held no surprises, as in gardening tools I just need them to do their job and wear well over time!

As soon as you pick up these garden tools, you can feel how good quality they are. The tools are wide, larger than I expected (in a good way), and the shovel even has measurements to help you dig the appropriate sized holes. The metal has some kind of coating on it which I assume is to prevent rust. Only thing missing is some kind of case to store them but that is minor. This is a great gardening set that will last us years.

These are a superior set of garden tools in comparison to others I’ve had and seen at this price point. Well made, solid and feel good in the hand. It will be great to give them a real testing this spring/summer. Happy with the set.

I a extremely pleased with this set for the following reasons:*The quality appears to be very good. According to the description, they are nickel plated with ash wood. I cannot comment on durability as I just got these but I will say they appear solid and are comfortable to hold.* These are standard size tools to they should get the job done* They come in a nice branded box, which makes them giftable if you so chooseI never used a dibbler before, but I can see how convenient this would be when planting seeds. I highly recommend this product.

I'm quite impressed with the thickness of steel that is used for these tools. The steel is very solid and barely has any flex. I've dug up parts of my greenhouse using the trowel and have hit rocks beneath the soil and this trowel just takes it. Compared to other trowels that use a thinner stamped steel, the rock would have bent something. The wooden handles on these tools are thick for comfort and the wood is solid. I feel I can put these tools through a lot of abuse and they will last a long time.
