I just completed the first oil change on my Tacoma and was happy with the results. These filters include the two necessary gaskets with the oem filter. Was also glad I bought the MotivX specialty oil change wrench and filter drain kit with funnel.

I was a concerned whether these were QEM or not. After receiving them, I compared them to the one I bought from my dealer. I couldn't see any differences. The box and Hologram sticker were the same as was the O-Ring package and the paper element. With TOYOTA stamped inside of the element paper. Made in Thailand. Great Toyota quality. I would buy these again when I need more.

I only buy maintenance parts from auto stores, Wally World, Amazon or Rock Auto.com. This 3-pack of oil filters is an excellent buy, even though the oil drain plug gasket is Not Included (o-rings are included). The vendor I purchased from is Metro24Wholesale. Get the 20-pack plug gasket on Amazon. Right now, at Wally's, they're $7 and change for 1 filter. Pretty good savings on here with prime shipping too. Make sure you order the right part number by checking several auto part sites. I received the genuine Toyota filter. Amazon part fitment system is Not reliable; it is wrong on many parts for my vehicles. This filter does its job very well, of course, it's a Toyota part! But, when it gets past warranty, I tend to go more performance oriented parts: like Wix XL or the like if prices are reasonable. I really like Napa Gold. I would not go past 7500 miles on the Toyota filter (up to date ones are "made in Thailand" now), so look for that on the filter box. And check it with previous one you are changing or one from a reputable store. There are counterfeits or sub-par units out there; seen a couple of videos where buyers could easily squish the filter element (not good). So, be carefull. The Yzza-1 fits the 2017 Toyota Highlander V6. I will be buying this again. On another note, it really sucks that Toyota went to this cartridge/ filter element separate style system. Most auto mechanics over- tighten the plastic canister; then when the next guy goes and wrenches it off, it cracks or a tab breaks off. You have to buy special filter wrenches, and tools. My advise: get the best tools you can find for the money. I had to get a 1/2 inch, 24" long breaker bar, just to bust loose the filter housing, to change filter the first time. What a pita and joints! Also, get the aluminum filter housing (much more durable) in case you don't want to change oil/filter in sub- freezing temps. I guess most ASE Certified techs can't read anymore. It has right on the filter housing: torque to 18.6 ft. lbs.! Get it right! That's not much more than hand tightened. My 2019 Honda CR-V is so much easier to maintain. Have fun!

Amazon information didn’t include drain plug gaskets which arrived in the online info so I ordered a separate pack that I didn’t need. Suggest updating info.

If you've never done an oil change on a Lexus, you likely only need the paper filter and a gasket as the metal housing is reusable. I have an ES300h and I just use the filter and one of the o-rings. Between this filter and Kirkland oil, I can do a full synthetic oil change with OEM filter for well under $20 instead of $120 at our local oil change.
