Emson Electric Indoor Pressure Smoker 7 Qt
My mom bought one of these a couple years ago, I have been wanting one, then they came out with one a little large, which makes it easier to find a whole chicken to put in it! I have tried several things my mom has made, I did get a little time to experiment with cold smoking some cheese YUM! It turned out awesome, I just mixed some cherry, hickory and mesqite chips and it tastes like smoked salmon! I cant waite to smoke some other stuff after the hollidays when I have some time.

When the product worked it was great. Then it broke
When the product worked it was great. Then it broke. It was sent to the Emson company in New York per their instructions for a replacement. It was delivered and signed for on September 19, 2014. Today is January 2, 2015 and we have yet to receive a replacement or a refund.Emson does not return telephone calls and the supervisor is always at lunch when we call. We are out of options. If you don't need customer service you are probably OK. BUT - if you might need a replacement or parts, you will be out of luck.

Sent it back. It broke. Thought it was a novel idea and would work better in the apartment, but it did not. It smelled up the apartment. It broke, then I sent it back and got a much larger Smokehouse/humador, which has much more room. Sometimes the recipe worked, but not worth the price. Pressure cooker portion was great though.

Pretty good in all respects except size
I like this smoker/cooker. It does a great job on anything you put in it. Excellent on ribs. It is very small inside though, so if you are planning on feeding very many folks you will have to pre-cook and then heat up later. Only 1-rack of ribs will fit and you have to cut each rib off and place on the rack system. You will never fit a full chicken in this thing, a rock cornish hen would fit. Very good smoke flavor, but you need an overhead exhaust hood because there is some smoke that comes out. Great concept, just needs to be bigger......at least for me. Works for a family of 1-2 without some meal planning. It impressed my friends when they sampled my ribs. I would give it 5 stars if it was bigger. I worry about replacement parts as others have mentioned in their reviews......the fire box and sealing ring especially.

works fantastic but even the 7 qt is small they should have a 10 qt follow the book and u will have no problems i been doing bbq and smoking foods for over 30 yrs the cold smoke section ? is not well explained instructions are in the cook salmon tips for cold smoke: brine fish for hrs then cold smoke 10 min let cool open fill chip box again do another 10 min cool fill chip box hot cook for 16 min dont forget the water this is for a big thick fish that only would fit after i cut 3" off the tail brisket ( flat ) had to cut in half and use the racks was good

if you like smoked, tender meats
Folks, if you like smoked, tender meats, you have to get on of these! Fired mine up today for the first time. I used about 2 pounds of pork cut into two pieces and 3 very small pieces of hickory (great deal on ebay). Followed the directions except covered with garlic salt instead of using a rub. 40 minutes . . . . done. More hickory flavor than I like, but more tender than any roast I've ever cooked in the oven. Put four nice sized pieces on a large bun, yummmmm. Make sure you get the 7qt size, as the 5qt would have been too small. So easy to use, even a single guy can use it. Also, pretty easy to clean. Hopefully it will hold up, but I bought the extra 2-year insurance just in case.

You can smoke cheese to! WhAT?!
worlds best invention since the computer (ok..almost...but a dang close second!). Smokes your meat, cooks your meat, keeps it tender also (I was surprised to tell you the truth). Best buy I could have made. Only pain is cleaning it afterwards. Those little grates are annoying to clean but worth it. Get the little chips from wally world for like, 7$ in every wood type. They are in the gardening section in the bbq sub-section.
