large, bright, happy and useful
This is my first experience using a pocket-chart style calendar and I love everything about it.Quality: the material is thick and sturdy, including the canvas background, the clear pockets and all the laminated cardboard inserts. Even though the cards are made of thick and laminated cardboard, special care is needed while unboxing, as the perforations are not deep, and tearing of the top-most layer of the laminated paper can happen if you're being hasty. At one point I may add an extra layer of lamination.Usefulness: I love the concept that each day is represented by a tangible pocket. We use raffle tickets, on which we jot down times and days of events, activities, reminders and appointments, and then insert these tickets into the appropriate pockets. The ticket/pocket system is an engaging and tactile way of organizing time and days that works really well for my children that isn't as flat, boring, and one-dimensional as a typical calendar system. My girls have taken an interest in helping manage and tracking our days and events because it's fun and engaging.I'm glad this particular product is well-made with thoughtful stitching and thick materials. It will be used for years to come and likely passed down. 5 stars.

Incorrect Spanish abbreviations, but otherwise cute calendar at a reasonable price (15.99)
We are a spanish speaking household, and I’m always looking for resources to enrich my children’s use of spanish at home. This is a cute calendar, but it takes some serious time and effort to get it set up. All of the pieces are still attached to the sheet of card stock and they tear easily when trying to pop them out. I had to repair a few, and ended up using scissors to carefully remove each one. I highly recommend using scissors so you don’t damage yours, it will seem like it’s going to pop out fine then part of it that is less perforated will suddenly tear. I also had to spend time ironing this out, as the creases look really bad when you receive it.There are little black dots that are not in the product photo but are at every stitched corner of my calendar, which I believe was probably used to guide the sewing, but it’s too bad they used a permanent marker. It is noticeable in person, and I don’t like it. Also the abbreviations for the days of the week are not correct. I’d be fine without any abbreviations at all, but if they’re going to put it on there, I don’t see why they didn’t just look it up. There are three acceptable abbreviation options for the days of the week in spanish and they are:DO, LU, MA, MI, JU, VI, SA,ordom. lun., mar., miérc., juev., vier., sáborD, L, M, X, J, V, S.This Calendar also only has 4 years 2023 (already over) 2024 , 2025, 2026, so it’s use is very limited. I think it should have at least 10 years since it’s advertised for classroom use.I’m still giving it 4 stars because we do like it and are using it, and at 15.99 I’m willing to deal with those things considering there are not a lot of options like this available in spanish. However, I think the company would be wise to change the abbreviations on the next run.

Nice colorful secular calendar
The pocket could* easily store all the pieces that are not being used. The cards are nicely printed, with no sharp edges after tearing! The colors are nice and bold and colorful! There is even a coating and the paper is thick. There are extra numbers to account for calendars with dates 23/30 and 24/31The rest of the days 1-31 are color coded, which makes it easy to set up, and nice for younger kids to practice week recognition and skip counting. The pictures for the holiday cards are secular for the most part, with the exception of Passover which is a religious celebration.

Major design flaw!!
I really wanted to love this, but unfortunately there is a major design flaw that keeps it from functioning as it should. My entire point of buying this was to teach my child about how days, weeks and months work.I can’t do that properly with this calendar because of the major design flaw. I attached photos of how I had to set the calendar up for this current month. I had to paperclip the Easter holiday onto the bottom of the calendar because there is no logical way to put it in a pocket. They attempted to fix this issue by making cards that have more than one date on them, but they didn’t think about having a holiday on one of those days and it throwing things off for a learning child. If I were to put the Easter holiday card up in the slot meant for the 24th/31st, it would be super confusing to my four-year-old who I am trying to teach about how time passes. All they need to do to fix this is add an extra row of pockets, and it would be perfect! Another option is to add some more dual date cards at the very beginning of the month (like 1/8 & 2/9). If they could fix this issue, I would definitely give the calendar five stars!Ps. The only other issue I had is the horrible creases from this being folded for shipping. It makes it very difficult to insert some of the cards and it just doesn’t look good. If they could roll it up for shipping, that would be a much better option.

Lovely but please do Not ship it folded
My boy loves it, it makes it easier to explain “time” and the calendar to him. I wish it was not shipped folded that way because even more than a month over received, it has the marks… you get a lot of different themes and a “today” star that your little one can move day by day. The color are bright and it has a good big size. I only wish it had storage pockets for the labels you are not using at the time. Quality like I will say is standard but sew with thread so I think it will hold. Overall I like it and my boy loved it from the first moment we got it. Specially the labels that say “No school” 😅

Must have for 1st Grade!
When I was setting up my first grade classroom over winter break I realized I desperately needed a calendar to use for morning meetings. I wanted something not too bright and crazy but kid/student friendly. This was perfect! It’s easy to set up and the colors are calm. Paper is durable but I might laminate when I have time to last the years. Nice product.
