Premium Cast Iron Smash Burger Press incl. 25 pcs of Patty Paper, Burger Smasher for Griddle with Black Wood Handle, Perfect Hamburger Press

I am writing this review MONTHS after I bought it and I'm coming back to say I have been extremely impressed with the quality of this press. First of all, the packaging it comes in makes me feel like a VIP customer. Secondly, the overall visual, tone, and quality of this press is amazing too.I have had this for close to a year now and there has been no rusting yet. With simple cast iron care and easy cleaning this thing should last a VERY long time. When getting it all you have to do is season it with some oil and makes sure you aren't scrubbing the seasoning off when you clean it.Lastly, I am impressed with the handle too, I have not been burned once, and I have been addicted to making smash burgers bi/tri-weekly. The heat retention is good to; the handle stays cold while the press gets hot enough to where the patty doesn't stick. And the sizing of the patties you can make is totally up to your desire because of how big the press is.

Smasher worked great...just like I hoped for. The size was good since there are only two eating most of the time, pan size is in the smaller category. I did watch the video and that helped to show a good way to prevent meat sticking to the bottom of the smasher.

I really like the weight to assist “smashing” burgers with less effort. The handle is comfortable and I like the all black look including screws.The included burger paper is great to reduce burgers from sticking to the smasher.I have 2 wishes: (1) provide a case to reduce it causing damage to other items in a drawer or cabinet.(2) include care & use instructions. The only “paperwork” is a small paper asking customers to share product feedback & the product. I KNOW I could do a better job marketing this smasher.After perusing thru the multitude of smashers on Amazon I feel this is the best for the money.In looking at the photo in reviews that is rusted, I suggest to clean it with regular dish soap, dry thoroughly, and apply a thin coat of vegetable oil. This is where a case comes in to prevent oil from the smasher getting on other items you store this with.

The smasher is a nice weight and feels good when using. I have only used it a few times, but I do not have any complaints. I did some research and preheated it some before smashing my burgers and it did not stick. I haven't used the parchment paper yet, but will give that a try. I have not had any problems with rust yet, but I am really careful about cleaning it after each use and applying a thin coating of oil after each use.
