Acoustica Mixcraft 8 Home Studio

I'm coming from using Magix Music Maker for the last ten years. It worked for me. I have Recently used some free trials of Mixcraft and it is now my favorite DAW. Probably won't use anything else. Love the work flow and how easy it is to get going.. I made a lot of music with loop base Magix. But couldn't do anything with it except let people listen to it.. Talking with Mixcraft they told me don't sell the individual loops and sounds. But once they are place as an instrumental /Beat you can sell it or your music that you put together.. Which is what helped me make the switch. I do use Midi now.. Mixcraft 8 home studio has alot of What I need. Great quality sound. & great price for me.. I was wanting the pro studio 8.. I'll have to wait on that.. This one does everything I need it too. I recommend it..

Never was able to use Sonic, just could not get it, but this one is a keeper, I am working on songs from day one. Just wish that I could find software that lets me hum my tune and then make the music. I do not play an instrument so I have to let go of the melody I make up in my mind and try to substitute theirs. The only draw back is that they don't have much in the way of love songs/slow songs. It's still a very good DAW overall.

The install was no fun. The install disc ran forever and never finished. I gave up on it after while and tried to upload on line. After multiple failed half hour long attempts on-line, using the URL provided, to up-load the .exe installer file, it finally completed on the fourth attempt. Be sure to write down their installation code when you finally get it by Email, after giving them their retreival code, because as you proceed toward the actual install, they will tell you to close out every other program running during the run up to.... then a screen or so later, they will be asking you for the installation code which is way too long to be remembered. ( I fired up firefox in mid install to retrieve the email with their code, and then closed it out, and it still worked) No idea why the install is so balky, my internet speed is 54mbps but loads mostly at about 800 Kbps. It did eventually succeed on the fourth attempt. I have run it and it works.It looks like massive over-kill for what I need. I just want to mix a few Ukelele loops from my Barritone and Bass ukes, with drum/tracks and voice to share on-line with my ukelele jamb buddies.Now I have to figure out how it works. I clicked the Video tutorial button under Help and the system crashed. I tried again and it crashed. I will look on-line and see if anyone has posted a tutorial someplace that works. I will amend this review as I go forth.

It is good for recording music, editing, and making videos. What I did not like about this product is that in its music library it has a lot of music that has like a very crazy and dark theme to them. I would say like only 7% of the music in its library are worth using.

May be a great program for a musician trying to create music, but the program would not open an audio format that I was needing to edit.

I got this after using acid which crashed a lot... and mixcraft is so much better it’s very user-friendly has premixed settings you can use and once you learn how to mix the sound comes out great. Only thing is there is a delay when using a usb mic... If you want to hear your voice while recording without the annoying delay than you can use an interface not a usb mic.

its a great music mixer if you know about this kind of stuff in advance because there are so many features, it is very complicated and frustrating if you dont know what your doing!
