This chair and ottoman are so beautiful! A modern take on the Eames chair (as mentioned in another review) and, imo, more comfortable. It sits a tiny bit higher and makes getting in and out easier. it goes perfectly with our Thomasville bent wood dining chairs from years ago and blends with our decor.We found it sits comfortably. Note: This is not your Grandma’s Overstuffed Recliner!! Steer clear if that is what you are looking for. This one is firm and seems like there is lumbar support in the way the cushions are filled. It has a swivel that returns to original position and leather that feels like butter. It looks beautiful from every angle and isn’t cheap and flimsy, but well made, sturdy and heavy.Be aware that this comes in two very very heavy boxes!! The packaging seems like it goes on forever when you are unpacking things, especially the bases. In spite of a damaged box, the chair was so well packed that there were no marks or dings. But, be prepared to have help bringing it into your place and having someone hold the base, at least on the chair, while you screw it on.For the record, we had no trouble screwing this together. The hardware, including the Allen Wrench, were attached to the chair wrap and easy to find as they are on a red ribbon in a red plastic bag. I can see where it might be missed among all the other packaging, so just be aware.So if modern is your style, buy this chair now.

This is the SECOND faux Eames chair I've bought in recent months, and I much prefer this one -- primarily because it is slightly less Eames-y. It has a headrest! I am used to a chair with a headrest, and I found that the lack of one was a real problem for me. And, also unlike an actual Eames (and my other knockoff), this chair reclines, and quite a bit, which is a big plus for me too. The base of this chair is slightly less "Eames-y"-looking than my other chair, but it seems to be at LEAST as sturdy, and it may be even heavier.As to the ottoman, the last chair I bought came with an ottoman which was almost the same size as the chair (the same size as a true Eames ottoman, it appears) -- it is crazy, uselessly enormous! (It does not even really fit comfortably in my room.) The ottoman which accompanied this chair is "just right," as Goldilocks and I would say: MORE than plenty of room to put your feet up, which is really all it's for.Assembly was a breeze: just screw in 4 bolts, and another 4 for the ottoman.ALSO: this chair is manufactured in Vietnam, which is a refreshing change of pace.

This is not a small purchase, I paid just over 1k for this. I have been trying out and searching for a comfy lounge chair for a few years now. I have previously owned lounge chairs from IKEA and Living Spaces. This Chita Elvin caught my eyes via a YouTube recommendation. Since then I have read many reviews and done a fair amount of research before making this purchase. There are mixed reviews, mostly on the hardware/assembling side, but seeing that everyone said they have excellent and responsive customer service, I bit the bullet and ordered the saddle color one.Order, delivery and packaging:Everything came in within 3 day’s time in two boxes. One large and one small. I got the legs of the chair and ottoman in one box on the second day, this is the smaller box. It came in good shape, packaging inside was top notch. Then the chair body and ottoman on the third day. This is in a large L-shaped box, that is 65 lbs. However, it came damaged and partly opened. Thankfully, the inner packaging job was done brilliantly, Styrofoam took most of the hits, nothing important inside was damaged.Assembly:It was surprisingly simple to put together. Four bolts join the legs to the ottoman, and another four bolts and washers join the chair body to the legs. These legs have a nice heft to it. With that said, you can definitely put this together on your own, but it is much easier to have a second pair of hands to help. I'd recommend doing that just to avoid scratches and dings to the chair during the assembly. There were many buyers before me that complained about bolts being too short and/or misaligned. I am guessing that the issue has been sorted by the seller because this didn't apply to me. I am also not too crazy about the silly amount of warning labels that are stuck on the bottom.Customer Service:I found the hardware for the ottoman in a bright red plastic bag taped to the ottoman's wrapping plastic. It's 4 [M6x25mm] bolts plus a wrench. Nothing to it. However, hardware for the chair is nowhere to be found. According to the user manual, I am missing: 4 [M6x25mm] bolts, 4 [M6] spring washer, 4 [M6] flat washer. I contacted their customer service via the Amazon portal, and they got back to me in around 24hrs, on a weekend. They said they are going to send out the replacement hardware, and it is going to take another 5-10 days. Unacceptable, given I paid good money for it. The saving grace was that they are very polite and responsive. Anyway, I remember about another reviewer that went to a hardware store for new bolts and I did just that. I got myself longer bolts M6x35 with washer and spring. It did the job perfectly and I am happy that it got sorted.Final Verdict:I am 5'8" 165lbs. This chair is the right fit for me, cushioning is just right, not too pillowy and not too firm. The memory return feature also is very nice. Mechanical recline function is very smooth. The control for the recline is also situated in a good position and the part doesn’t feel cheap. I can sit in this chair for hours and don't have any weird aches after. Legs on the chair are heavy and it obviously works well on a carpeted surface. It does slide just a bit on a hard surface floor, but it has hard plastic caps on the bottom so it doesn’t scratch your floor.TL;DR?It’s nice. Legit. Get it. Customer service is responsive and polite.

Excellent Quality. In this day and age of cheap disposable crap, it's nice to find a product that is built well but not asking for boutique prices. Don't get me wrong this is not a Herman Miller level product but what it is is quality at an affordable price. Yes, there are cheaper chairs on this site but the leather and stitching and real wood veneer are all top notch. I see many years of life using this as my daily chair. If you are on the fence about purchasing, I hope this review helps. Cheers!

The chair is well-made and does not disappoint - a solid 10/10. All of the mounting hardware was included and chair arrived in perfect condition. Unfortunately the chair must go thru FED-X delivery to get to you- in my experience FED-X is notoriously unreliable and they did not disappoint. Delivery did not go smoothly, however after some minor intervention the chair arrived in 4 days. The seller, despite my frustration and lack of patience, managed to take the high road and maintained a courteous and helpful demeanor throughout, which I appreciate. It really is a wonderful chair.
