10/10 Buy it!
Okay, full disclosure, I did not buy this for a tortoise, lizard, or anything that slithers. I bought this to raise chickens. And turkeys. And a peacock. And let me tell you: this habitat slays as a brooder. Iโve tried all the โpoultry-specificโ brooders, pens, you name it, and not only do they cost $200+ for something that looks like it was made from repurposed disappointment, but most of them require me (a grown adult woman, 4โ10โ on a good day) to lean so far over the sides I risk swan diving straight into a pile of fresh chicken poop. Ask me how I know. ๐ This setup? A pure dream. I was able to put this entire pen together in less than 30 min. Which made me love it even more. The build quality is great, and a month in and over 50 chicks through the brooder already! The pen is very sturdy and both sides of the top lifts open, the lamp side is the perfect height, itโs easy to clean, warm enough to keep the babies cozy without roasting them, and the enclosed area gives them room to cool off if they get too toasty. Basically, itโs the bougie chicken nursery I never knew I needed. Iโve already got another one in my cart. If youโre a fellow backyard farm weirdo looking for a smart, affordable brooder option that doesnโt require a tetanus shot, rocket science, or yoga-level flexibility, this is it. Turtles, take a seat. This oneโs for the birds. ๐ฃ

Nice enclosur
I purchased this for my Greek tortoise and it's worked out wonderfully. It was easy to assemble, the sturdy plastic tray allows for easy cleaning . Easy to move outdoors depending on weather, but indoors it fits nicely in small corner in my front room. The wood holds up well and offers a nice depth for digging for my tortoise.

Hope it lasts
It looks good. Very spacious and fairly easy to set up. There's a strong odor when you open the package but then it disappears or you just get used to it. Unfortunately, there's a little crack on one of the windows but I didn't want to go through the hassle of return since everything else was okay. There are no holes to insert the screws but the wood is soft so screwing them is not that bad. The legs do not feel as sturdy as I thought it would be but I'm hoping it will last long.

Great Habitat
My little turtle is super happy in this! It is well built and looks nice in the room I placed it instead of just some random cage. Size is appropriate for the turtle with theb2 different opening areas. It is wood with metal mesh so it works. Latches are cheapie ones and easy ky bend but itโs not a big issue as long as youโre careful.

Tortoise Sanctuary
This is an AMAZING tortoise enclosure!!! I love the upgrades they made working with Garden State Tortoise! It is made of cedar (which you will smell at first) and goes together SO EASILY!!! Praise the hardware Gods for that one!! Very sturdy and light, so it is easy to move from room to room if need be. The price is AWESOME for what you get, so....what are you waiting for?!?

Not pet safe material - Please don't do this to your animals
The fact that it's made of cedar is a significant issue. Don't underestimate how bad that can be for your pet's respiratory system. It doesn't need to be in the form of shavings, nor touch their skin to be toxic. The respiratory irritation caused by the fumes can make your pet susceptible to respiratory infection over time, give them general distress, congestion, asthma, loss of appetite etc. Even the empty product box made my house smell of cedar after I had moved the wood pieces outside. There's a reason we use cedar wood to keep pests away from clothing. I ended up purchasing Zinser BIN primer (the only primer that can really seal cedar and other resins). I also purchased a new can of low VOC, high gloss scrubbable paint to go on top of the 2 layers of primer. For the money, time and effort it took to make these enclosures usable + waiting for the new paint to cure, I could have just purchased more expensive enclosures made of plexiglass. Unless they start offering this product in a safe, non-aromatic / non-toxic wood, with a durable paint that doesn't rub off easily or sparkle with tiny crystals of chemical / resin residue, I wouldn't recommend. *****Update**** Even with the multiple layers of primer and Low-VOC paint fully cured - and aquarium silicone sealant around every crack and joint, IT STILL SMELLS of the original chemicals and cedar. It was a waste of time and materials trying to make this item usable. I'm afraid if I give it away, someone will put an animal in it, so I guess I have to dissemble and put in the trash, or put outside and use as some kind of weird potting bench.

Good enclosure for a tortoise
Really good enclosure for tortoise. Wish it was a little bigger but the wooden construction makes it a solid and moddable enclosure. Easy to drill in in temperature sensors and heating pads to make sure your tortoise is comfortable.

Nice Habitat
I just put this together today. It all seems pretty sturdy. I think the latches could get a small upgrade as they are kind of flimsy. It does smell strong of paint when you 1st open it but by the time i got it together that had dissipated. Also the film on the windows, use a razor (box) cutter and go around it as close as you can without cutting the wood. It will peel right off. Be gentle though so you don't scratch it up anywhere. (Seen quite a few peoples complaint was that film but i had no problems getting it off). I really like it and hope my tortoise will too! If things go South i will be back to update. If it all stays good, I will leave this review at a 5 star.
