I put these stakes in near my fruit trees to give them a little boost before fruiting season starts. As the trees are waking from winter, it seems to help them strengthen and leaf production takes off. I like how easy it is to get the spikes down into the soil where the nutrients are easily picked up by the roots.

I have been using these for about 5 years now with my orange trees and love them. They are easy to install. I will definitely continue to use them.

My peach tree is bigger and fuller than it has been in years and we finally got edible fruit this year!!

I have been using tree spikes for years and most of the time they shatter when I try to pound them in. Last year the ones I bought had a terrible ammonia smell to them and was very reluctant to use them. I don't remember the brand but I would buy them at my local hardware store. This year they were out so I came here to Amazon to look for some and was pleasantly surprised at the choices. I am big on organics and have a few old flowering crab trees and an old apple tree I'd like to see hang on so I thought I'd try these. The first thing I noticed when I opened them was the yummy molasses smell! Yum! I wanted to chew on it it smelled so good! And it was nice and solid and went into the ground without shattering. Since this is the first year using them I can't say how well they will work but I was certainly impressed by the smell and how they didn't shatter. Will probably keep using these!

Put them in the ground and forget about them till next season. Repeat and watch things grow. Love that they are organic.
