The quality is good. More specifically, the natural walnut color is matched throughout and the dimensions are accurate.

They were nice dowels, no splinters a couple small curves, but they were supposed to be 1/4" Drilled 1/4" holes, and yes I have drilled a couple in the past. The dowel fit but it was not a tight fit. A little bit of glue and they stay in place but if looking for a tight fit, maybe look at another brand.

I used the 3/8" walnut dowels to plug the screw holes in my chairs (my first attempt at making a chair). The chair slats, themselves, are made from a mixture of redwood and walnut. These dowels are straight and clean. You can use a hand saw or multi-tool to cut them off, then careful sanding. With these chairs I used teak oil (no wood stains) to bring out the true colors of the wood and finished them off with beeswax. Beautiful!

I saw these and thought they would work perfect for my holiday project. I ordered them in and they looked fine enough. All the holes I was using them for were predrilled so all I had to do was stick the dowel in. I quickly learned they were not consistent in size. Some fit tight and snug while others had a little slop in it. I checked the holes to see if the mistake was there and it wasn’t. It was the inconsistency of the dowels.

used these to plug Kreg jig holes in walnut.

They look nice and are straight but are shy of a 1/4" in diameter. They are .22" - .23" in diameter.

These will be too small if you drill a 1/4" hole and need a tight fit. It almost ruined a project.
