I’ve wanted to buy a book nook for a while and found this one of the library. Everything came well packaged and has easy instructions to follow. The size is perfect for my bookshelves and the design is very intricate. My stubby fingers have struggled a bit with really tiny pieces but that’s what makes it handmade. It was great to have glue included as it meant I didn’t have to go and get some! I think the book nook is great value for money and would definitely encourage other book readers to buy one.

This was brought as a gift for my adult daughter who loves crafts and reading. She hasn't done one before and we weren't really sure what to expect.The quality of the wood in the kit, the way everything assembled with a snug fit really impressed both of us. Whilst you do need glue for assembly it was mainly decorating i.e. sticking paper images to the wooden structure rather than to hold the structure together.The instructions were a little difficult to follow at times so I could image children may require some help with this. Probably the most difficult part to follow was the wiring for lights, we managed to get this wrong but it didn't effect the overall finish.In general we were both really happy with the gift, so much so I suspect this will be the start of an ongoing hobby for both us.

Absolutely loved building this with my girlfriend. Super easy to build whilst still being challenging enough to be fun. Build quality is great, shame the glue isn't supplied but it's so beautiful when built that it's easy to ignore that.

I bought this as a gift for my friend and she absolutely loves it. She said that it is really beautiful as it brings a whole new life to her bookshelf and that she cant wait to buy another. She said that she felt a little worried about how tedious it would be to put together but once she started she realized how easy and fun it was.

I really enjoyed building this, but the instructions were sometimes a bit vague, especially the ones for the little books and stickers. It's the first time I've ever built a book nook, but it won't be the last! It would help if the pieces had the numbers printed on them rather than just next to them on the pop out board. Some of the words are badly translated, so some parts took a process of elimination to understand what they were for, I managed to work it out in the end with a little bit of patience and minimal bad words. The pieces popped out really easily, and I had no issues getting the parts to fit together. I used craft Tweezers for the small fiddly parts and high tack craft glue to stick everything down, it worked very well, and set pretty quickly. The cuts on the large book stickers were poorly lined up so I had to cut them down on one side, but they looked fine once I'd trimmed them so it wasn't an issue. Wiring up the lighting was fiddly and initially frustrating, but it was pretty easy once I understood how the little circuit board worked. I managed to hide the wires easily and I really love how it looks when it's lit up, the lights really bring it to life! It looks great on the shelf next to my Mina Lima Harry Potter books! The little books are so cute and the little details on the furniture really do make it look good. It took me around 5 hours to put together because it took a while to understand some of the instructions, but I got there in the end. I love it so much that I've ordered a different one to build on my day off work at the weekend. I'd definitely recommend this one, but take your time and be patient with the instructions.

This is my first book nook and i was expecting it to be rubbish, i was so wrong, although i have not finished it, it is realy well made, well printed and the laser cut wooden pieces are very easy to remove from each other, the instructions are also very easy to follow. vdeo to follow when its done. This was a really fun kit to make. A couple of pieces were exceptionally fragile - the 2 quills and the hanging light (not the candelabra) - and snapped. Wood glue was able to mend them, and I used some dimensional magic (resin-like stuff) to strrengthen them and give a bit of glass bottle-like shine in the process. I used a piece of thread on the back of the light to keep it in place while the glue dried.Almost everything fits together really snugly, with very few gaps. A few bits needed more care to ensure that they stayed in place while they were dried, but overall the instructions were logically ordered and very clear. All in all.a very satisfying piece to build, and I'd happily do another one!

This was purchased as a gift and my partner was delighted with it having a lot of fun putting it together. It looks great on the shelf!
