Very surprised at how fast this cuts.
The teeth on this saw are not typical of hand saw kerf, it is made to cut on the pull stroke only. This saw is extremally sharp with very aggressive cut and I was surprised how fast it cuts though branches with very little effort. One thing that takes a little bit of practice is applying cutting force on the pull stroke only. The blade is too thin to support much pressure on the push stroke. You do need to be careful that you don't cut the tree/branch in a way that the blade can be pinched. The blade will easily bend if its pinched and a lot of push force is applied. I use this to cut 1" diameter and larger Invasive bush Honeysuckle trunks. It cuts this soft wood very easily and the saw folds up and drops into a belt attached holster. Its light and easy to carry through the woods. I have slayed acres of bush honey suckle with this thing. I cut the trunk, treat the stump with Tordon and crawl to the next one. One man honey suckle Ninja!

Favorite Item in My Hunting Pack
Perfect for throwing in my hunting pack and useful my myriad of tasks from trimming a shooting lane to using as a bone saw. Compact with a nice case, ergonomic and sturdy grip and otherworldly sharp. If you’re on the fence about this because of the price just go ahead and buy it. You won’t regret it. I also own the larger Outback Big Boy for firewood and other chores around camp. Silky saws are the best.

Great little saw
All silky saws cut fast and effective but the curved blade models cuts noticeably faster than their straight counterpart. This is a small saw to throw in a bag or put on your belt using the plastic case (Which isn’t the best). It will cut decent size limbs and trees but don’t expect it to cut big diameter logs. I’m my opinion it’s great for sawing small firewood, clearing brush, building a shelter, clearing limbs for my tree stand and so on. If you want to cut big stuff go with the larger version. If this sounds good then buy it now. The curved one is the best option even tho it’s a little more expensive.

Great saw, iffy scabbard
Great saw. Cuts quick and keep going. The scabbard slips off my belt easily and the closure is easily damaged. Most of the time I just put it in my pocket. A scabbard that reliably clip to a belt and a closure that stays on would help, but don’t change the saw!

Works pretty well, is quite sharp, cuts quickly. I do find clearing the points is a bit of a pain, wood fibers get stuck in the middle between the two edges and if you dont clean them right away, the soft wood will dry and harden and make it even more difficult.

High quality blade as expected. Makes sawing through large branches easy
