The bristles are short and stiff. Perfect for use after gardening on both nails and gunky hands. Plus the wood base is handsome beside the sink--more appealing than a plastic brush. Nice firm bristles to get out that dirt that you should have been wearing gloves to prevent. Maybe it was that one or two last weeds that tempted you after taking your gloves off or maybe you had some other reason to stick your naked hands into the dirt but now you're wondering how to get your hands looking nice for that date you're about to go on. Most people are turned off by dirty nails. Ranks right up there with dandruff. So, this brush attacks that dirt with purpose. Softer bristle brushes are better used for cleaning out ear wax......

These are very stiff, hard bristles to hold up to cleaning under your fingernails. Most of the other ones I tried were too soft & just bent over & didn't clean but these work & you get 2!

My nails are short and I am busy with potting plants, sanding metal and wood furniture, painting and other projects that get my hands dirty. This brush is awesome as it gets the dirt and paint off of my skin with little effort compared to other nail brushes I’ve used. The brush cleans so well I only need a small amount of soap!

We purchased this so my wife can get her nails clean after garden work and it does the job. She spotted it elsewhere, but the price was better here.

I own several Redecker brushes. All their brushes are very well thought out: The wood feels smooth, and easy to hold; The bristles are sturdy and remove debris perfectly. My brush had some cracking on the side, and I was planning to return it, but the seller (MT Baker Mercantile) reached out to resolve the problem. I was surprised about the personalized customer service, not only that they care, but they stand by the quality of their products. I will definitely be ordering other products from them.

Can not remember ever saying "where have you been all my life" about a material possession - these elicited that first for me. Gave my mother one, she actually called late at night after using it for the first time to rave. We both garden barehanded, now we can go out in public without spending five minutes cleaning our fingers. Will be giving these to every gardener I am fond of (just ordered four more).One caveat: I put it in a soap dish and the bristles must soak up water and transfer it to the wood, which became damaged (not unuseable but there is some cracking and discoloration) almost immediately. Make sure you put it in something that drains when not in use.
