This is the smoothest and best electric, wet or dry shaved. Period.I was a 5 year “best model “ Norelco user, then a 20- year Panasonic (successive) top models devotee. The Braun 9-pro is another level of smooth, quiet, efficient and quick. It’s a big step up.Personally, I prefer wet shaves (Dollar Shave Clubs Shave Butter is perfect); but when I travel I always shave dry (skin prep is Old Ron’s unscented pre shave).The included charging travel case is a very big plus. Yes, thanks the razor get me through 3 weeks easily, and I have a heavy beard.Pricey? Yup. But well worth the bucks!

I typically don’t write reviews, but feel compelled to write one for this razor. I’m 66 years old have very sensitive skin that is easily cut and a beard like a bristle brush. I cannot use a blade because it will cut my face to pieces. I’ve tried Remmington, Norelco, and Panasonic, but none of them shave like this Braun razor. I typically have to go back-and-forth over my face dozens of times with those other razors and I still have some stubble. With the Braun, I am done shaving in about two minutes. Simply amazing! I didn’t think it was possible. I can’t say that you’ll have the same success because I think we all have different skin and beards, but I’ve never found anything like this. On top of it, I am very lazy at cleaning my razor. This cleaning stand is so simple. When I’m done shaving, which is every two days typically I pop it in the cleaning stand push the button and it’s clean and ready to go next time. Very simple. The only downside to this razor is the absolutely ridiculous manual that everyone else talks about. They might as well not even put the thing in with the razor. Google it or use ChatGPT to try to find something that tells you how to use this thing. Kind of crazy to have such an amazing razor and a ridiculous manual. Obviously the cost is very high and unaffordable for a lot of people. That is unfortunate, but in my case, it has been worth the money.

I would give this higher than 5 stars if I could. I have owned several electric shavers, and the biggest problem was that they had difficulty giving a truly close shave without multiple passes with the unit, and even then, it was not as close as a razor. This one dispels that pattern and will give you close to a razor feel with the first pass. Works very well and is a quality product. Easy to clean and holds a charge well.

Well designed and built. Gives reasonably close shave. Braun's instructions, on the other hand, are a joke.If you're big into comics, they might suffice but if you seek meaningful guidance, you'll need an alternatesource.

Like others, I broke down and spent a fortune on this razor and I'm glad I did. The best electric shave I've ever had. I have a weird beard where the hairs on my neck lay flat, so I also use Williams Lectric Shave to help these hairs stand up. The combo of the razor and pre-shave lotion make for a close and comfortable shave.Here's something I didn't expect. I use a Wahl electric hair clippers to shave my head. I used to use a blade and cream to shave it but it was just too much of a hassle to shave so often, so changed to the Wahl. For kicks, I tried the Braun on my head and was blown away - it actually works better on my head than my face. I surprised I didn't see other reviews touting this feature. I'm now able to shave my head every other day (same as I do my face) and it's very easy and I love the results.In my opinion, you do get what you pay for...

I've been shaving my head, neck and part of my face with a double-edge safety razor for years (and with a fancy USA-made titanium razor at that!), but I got tired of the wet shaving process with the whole routine. I've had Panasonic ARC shavers before, and briefly tried the Philips OneBlade (blade got dull and started pulling after only two complete shaves, so that was a showstopper). So I was hesitant on trying the Braun, but went all in on the Pro 9 and am absolutely blown away. The first head shave was like a revelation. Smooth, fast, close… it was like magic, and that was on 6 day old fuzz! I've since shaved a half-dozen times with it and all have been perfect.The cleaning station seems to work well also, though I have been rinsing out the head with hot water and soap when I'm done shaving because there's so much hair when doing my head.My only quibble is that the pop-up trimmer could be a bit better. It doesn't seem to cut real close or easily. The silver lining is that it also won't accidentally cut you like around the ears and stuff.

This is the best shave I have experienced with an electric razor. It is very easy on the face but delivers a very close shave with minimal passes. I have used this shaver with as much as a 4 day beard and had no trouble at all. The cleaner works beautifully to both clean and lubricate so there is no need for maintenance. I have not used the charging case but it looks to be functional and simple to use.
