Pro Cone - Poor Construction!
Actually, I'm very dissapointed with this product. It's soft and much more comfortable for my dog to wear which is a massive plus, so that's great and it has stopped him from making his wound worse too, so it has definitely done what it was supposed to...BUT, the quality of this product is pretty poor. Were this cone cheap, then I'd probably think nothing of poor construction, but it's not a cheap cone at all, and is marketed as being one of the upper market solutions when your pet pooch needs a cone to prevent them from upsetting an injury further. After just 5 days of wear the stitching has come away on one of the long velcro strips which hold the cone in place. This is a pretty big deal as these strips are the only thing which holds the cone together, so if these come loose or off entirely, then your cone is no longer useable! Our dog is in his older doggy years and he spends most of his days sleeping and when he goes for his walks, the cone is taken off, so let me just stress that the fact the stitching has come away on this product is certainly not because of the result of a rather energetic dog treating it roughly (not that it should make any real difference anyway).According the instructions, this cone can be machine washed, although I have never tried that. I'm always reticent to put items other than clothes in the washing machine, so I hand washed in cool water to make extra sure that nothing should befall this expensive vet cone....an effort which seems to have been pointless as it's falling apart anyway! Goodness knows what might have happened if I had put it in the washing machine! So, the velcro is coming away and it's not been treated roughly by my pooch, or the washing machine, and yet it's still coming apart, simply because it's been taken off and put back on again....all within the first 5 days as well. Most injuries which require a cone are going to need you to keep the cone on for a minimum of 1 week I would expect, so the fact the cone hasn't even made that is very dissapointing.I'm going to ask for a replacement, as the concept of this cone is really good and it has been great for my pooch during his healing time. It is not however an expense I could shell out every time he may need a cone simply because the cone can't last more the 5 days of wear.Is it better than a hard cone? Yes, it's much more comfy for your dog to wear, and it stops them from getting to the injured bit which needs to heal, so that's great too.Would I say it's worth the money? Not based on my experience no.If the build quality was improved, then this would be a great product, but as it stands, I'd look for another brand and save your pennies until they get the quality issues sorted, or they reduce their price dramatically.

Perfect for our Staffie cross
Perfect for my Staffie cross when she had to have a cone on her for almost a week after a dodgy paw that she wouldn’t leave alone. It is slightly floppy but that was good as she could rest her head easier and seemed a lot more comfy that the hard plastic one we had from the vet. It was robust enough for her and didn’t bang and crash into the walls like the plastic one did. She was still able to drink too. Maybe if u have a really crazy young dog which was very bouncy it may not be strong enough but for r old girl who is 10 years old (or a calm dog) it is perfect.

Very well made, but...
I bought this as my dog has to wear one when I am not with him. Despite it being 5cm longer than his nose when he is wearing it he has managed to chew everything on his body within reach.I put this down to it being so floppy despite the ridges holding it out.I was a bit concerned when I first unpacked it especially once I had put it on him, as it flopped so much that it made him look like a Sith from Star Wars, but he didn't seem to chew while he was wearing it - until today that is.It has now been sent back, just don't buy.

Not worth the money, extremely disappointed
On recieving, this looked great, but after just 3 wears the clear side had spilt and cracked, which could easierly of damaged an eye. I had to use gaffer tape to cover each panel as they broke one by one.

Works well.
This worked out very well for my young German Shepherd after major surgery. She could not get to the wound. She could also lay flat in it, which she could not do with the plastic hood from the vet. Great product.

Worth the price tag
Got this for my dog instead of usual plastic collar, he seems quite comfy in it and is able to sleep. I have a husky and this size is plenty long enough to stop him getting to wounds in front leg and stomach.Been using it three months and still going strong

not worth the moey
This is not very good the dog can get its head past the end of he cone, it doesn't last very long as the material frays, not a good buy at all, complete waste of money

Good but not for multiple uses
The cone did what it was supposed to, however my dog managed to un velcro it once or twice and by the time i was allowed to take it off. It was pretty tatty, with quite a lot of fraying and one of the elastic loops broken so probably requires my attention to sort it before i use it again.
