Good replacement parts, annoying install process.
The parts fit as described. The process for install is a pain if you don’t have a mechanics shop set of tools to hold all the springs in place while installing.

Work good
The left side brake on a John Deere deck has to have good pad to work right. There's not a way around to not replacing these. The deck pulley will grab a bracket with no pad left and spin it around ultimately causing issues with keeping the deck belt on.

Didn’t fix problem - but not the parts fault…
They seemed to be ok, but likely between my amateur mechanical skills and the generally lousy engineering on the John Deere mower deck, the repaired mower still ran like a bunch of rocks bouncing off a tin wall. Kept the parts and handed the whole mess over to a professional lawnmower repair shop. Last I heard he was still shouting expletives at the thing….
