Bring the luxurious spa experience to your bathroom with this Seville Classics Bamboo Bath and Kitchen Floor Mat. Bamboo is one of the world’s fastest growing, renewable plants making it an environmentaly friendly choice compared to other forested hardwoods. This stylish hand-crafted solid bamboo mat features linear ventilated slats accented by soft rounded edges for comfort and a raised profile for efficient air and dripping water circulation. Skid resistant silicone feet ensure the mat stays securely in place. This mat measures 24” x 18” x 0.5” thick. Please note that due to the nature of bamboo, this unit is not designed to be submersed in water nor exposed to extreme moisture for extended periods of time; therefore, not intended for use inside a shower or bathtub. If mold were to form, immediately clean the mat with a disinfectant. Ideal for placement outside your shower, bathtub, spa or in your kitchen.

No More Musty Shower Rug/Dog Rug
I was a little nervous about this purchase based on a lot of negative reviews, but when you read them all which are all based on mold growing on this, they all used this mat outside, INSIDE a shower, or with children. This mat is not intended to be used outdoor or directly inside a shower. There are means of making bamboo suit that, but this isn't it. So if you need a mat for inside a shower or an outdoor shower, pass on this.I bought this mat because I was tired of the musty shower rugs. In addition to collecting all water and beginning to smell, my dog loved to relax on the shower rug, especially waiting for me when I was in the shower. This only added to the smell and non-cleanliness of the rug. It would collect her hair, scent, and whatever else she might've been getting into. This was the perfect solution. It looks great, stays clean, and my pets have no desire to relax on it. Best of all is no more smell or having to wash it.I should say that I dry off before I get out of the shower. I thought most people did that, but after reading reviews on these bamboo mats I'm beginning to think that isn't the case. I have gotten plenty of water on this mat and the mat repels it right off. If you stand soaking wet on it daily, common sense should tell you that you're going to have a lot of water getting underneath it and around it which will sit, and, if left unattended, potentially grow mildew and mold.Pros+ Looks Great+ Repels Water+ Big Floor Mat Size+ Price+ Strong and Sturdy (I weigh 240lbs)Cons- Can Move Around (Not when standing on it though)Overall I think it's a great value for the price. Check the size dimensions when looking at other mats, and measure the desired placement area in your bathroom.

Not true bamboo wood. May not be antibacterial.
This mat is made of rayon (presumably bamboo rayon), the manufacturing of which requires using a highly processed wood pulp that is woven into a fabric. In other words, this is made of processed bamboo fibers and not the original bamboo wood. Why does that matter? One of the special qualities of a true bamboo is its antibacterial properties and it is unclear whether the bamboo rayon has the similar antibacterial properties of a genuine bamboo. Given that this mat is often used in bathrooms, that antibacterial property can certainly help.Although there is great deal of uncertainty whether this mat has antibacterial properties, this mat still works well as a bathroom mat. It looks good and it is sturdy. It feels right beneath your feet. As someone else has also noted, this is not to be used within the shower itself but outside of it.Pros:1)Sturdy and not flimsy.2)Looks good.3)Feels good beneath your feet.4)Recommended as a mat near bathroom sinks while brushing teeth etc.Cons:1)Not a true bamboo wood but a processed rayon (presumably bamboo rayon).2)May or may not have bamboo's antibacterial properties.

This bamboo mat was very stylish and spa like in our bathroom
This bamboo mat was very stylish and spa like in our bathroom. The bad part about it was water went underneath and there was nothing to absorb it. We put a towed underneath to collect the puddle of water which helped but after a few weeks of replacing it, it got tedious. Then I noticed one day cleaning the bathroom that there was a ton of thick nasty black mold underneath and on the tub where it was and I was so grossed out I threw it away! It was caked on the bottom of the mat and there was no getting it off.

Bigger and Better than I Expected
I 'discovered' bamboo floor mats years ago. I haven't thrown down a nasty bathmat in years - gross! My old one went missing in my last move (still don't know where the heck it went), so I saw this and bought it.It's great. There's nothing like stepping out of the shower and instead of stepping out and onto a nasty cotton bathmat, I'm stepping on a non-slippery piece of furniture. I have a walk in shower, and with the tiles on my bathroom floor, this matt just adds that extra touch of elegance. When it's time to mop the floor, I just put it in the shower, and then put it back. It's still new, but I imagine after a while I will need to refinish it if it starts to looked weather, or you can let it just go 'natural' if you like that distressed look. But this one was a good buy. No surprises. What you see if what you get.

A little hard on the feet, but looks fantastic!
I love the look of this mat. The edges of each bamboo slat are little abrupt. Sometimes, especially if my feet are cold, the edges feel sharp. But, I bought this primarily for its looks. It's great for my bathroom because the dogs like to use my regular bath mat as a bed. I hate stepping out of the shower and having my feet covered in dog hair immediately. This bamboo mat solves that problem. The dogs stay off of it, and it keeps my wet feet from slipping.

Very sturdy
I was actually expecting something much thinner and more flexible, so I was surprised when I found it's more of a platform than a mat. It rises about an inch off the floor and, with the suction cups on the bottom, you're not going to accidentally move it anywhere. Not at all. Still, it sits right next to the shower and is very comfortable and usable to step on. It's always dry and never slippery like my old mat. Someday I might stub a toe on it, but it's been with me for about 3 months so far and it's all good.

highly recommended! sturdy and looks expensive!
I was looking for a mat that we could use to step on when exiting the shower or bath. Prior to this purchase we had just been using towels for a bathmat since I am very particular about being able to easily clean shower/bath items. But I had always heard good things about bamboo being a cleaner more "hygienic" way to go (my sister has one). I spent quite a bit of time looking for a bamboo floor mat and reading reviews on Amazon. I am so glad that we went with this one-it was a great price and the quality is superb! It looks great and is very sturdy- the rubber discs on the underside of the mat prevent it from moving on the wood laminate bathroom floor.Also-The mat was shipped and arrived quickly-packaged in bubble wrap so there were no scratches.

Would recommend, but if you're clumsy like me read this review...
Exactly as described, sturdy and nice looking. My issue with it is that I forget it's there and when I'm sleepy and going to the bathroom I tend to trip on it. I can't blame the product for my clumsiness though!

Great product
Great look! Fits exactly my expectations. Very secure, doesn't slip. Easy to clean. On the down side, it doesn't absorb water, so you need to towel it down. Not a biggy, just a change in routine.

Large
Looks nice but just too big for my bathroom. I think this would work well in a large bathroom but don't buy it if you live in a condo.
