Hey dude style steel toe.
Great shoes for work. I work in and out of a wearhouse and i have to wear steeltoes. I love my hey dudes. These fit both my comfort wants like the dudes and the work requirements of the steeltoes. Perfect combo. Flexible, lightweight, slip resistant and Reasonable price too. I've worn them every work day for about 6 months now. And they are holding up pretty darn good. Looking to maybe get a second pair.

All around a great buy, comfortable, inexpensive, and light weight.
This has got to be my favorite works shoes for when I’m in the warehouse and need a composite toe. You can barely tell it’s even there. The fact that I’m around water and these are waterproof are awesome. I’ve worked in a freezer and a cooler also and cannot tell any difference in temperature wearing them. If shoe is not as cheap as I thought it would be given the price. Durable material I have worn these for six months and they don’t look much different than when I took them out of the box. Easy to use cause they’re just like a Hey Dude. For added tightness you can just pull the elastics tie a new knot and clip the rest and hide it with the little tabs on the ends. Functionally a great works shoe with a composite toe that’s lightweight and feels comfortable. The slipper resistance is pretty standard like any other shoe. I’ve had that are slip resistant.

The okayest 40$ safety shoe
These are the okay-est safety shoes. They are, indeed, safety toe, and most certainly shoes. These are the best budget shoes to get you over a hump. Add a nice comfort insert, (think Dr Scholes or whatever your preferred thing thing is) and these are down right serviceable. Lest you get too excited, however, keep in mind the price point- your shoes will wear out long before your insert. I am, as the kids say, "caked up thicc boi" and I don't exactly put miles and miles per day on these, but they lasted about 4 months. Not terrible, not awesome- they are okay. They are light, easy to put on, breath well if they get a bit of a puddle step on accident. The safety part is not the world's greatest, but it isn't cardboard either. It is a show, that has a safety toe, and it meets certain minimum safety requirements that allow us to consume them, at a financial cost that hints at a glimmer of nostalgia. Back to a time when the nice shoes were $100, and the okay shoes were 40$.Have and will buy again.4 stars cuz they don't last well, but otherwise okay

Amazing shoes
These shoes held up amazing! Comfy, fits well. Ordered another pair cause my current ones got ran over by a fire truck. Minimal damage. If my foot had been in them it would have definitely survived. The test convinced my whole shift to buy a pair.

Laces create tension on top of metatarsal area.
Shoe is mildly comfortable. I tried the get the laces just right so it's tightly secure so the shoe doesn't fall off my foot, but no matter how I strung the laces there was a constant pain on my metatarsal bones on the top of my foot. I did by metatarsal guards, but really no way to strap them to the shoe which is not the shoe's fault as they seem to be not designed for such attachments. However the shoe is still not all that comfy and difficult to get secured on your foot. I got the 10-1/2 wide, but the shoe is still to big which I think is most of the problem for me personally. I usually wear 10.5 to 11 depending if i am wearing work boots or work shoes. I do wear 10.5w as a regular shoe, but those don't seem to be as big as these. So if you're looking to get these keep in mind to go a half size smaller.

Comfy!!!
Update added to review:These shoes are so comfy. They are spongy when walking or standing. The best part is the padding where the steel toe is to protect ur toes from rubbing. So I don’t get blisters or calluses. They are so cheap. However only thing i worry about is the sole, it wears down quick which will cause tread to be bald. So not sure if that will cause a slip. Either way these were cheap. Had over a month and still love these. Only thing I changed was the insoles. I previously had gotten insoles that support my pressure points of foot on how I walk. So maybe that helped as well. So I cannot say how comfy these shoes are with the original soles. Also I did not like the strings that came with the shoes, since I’m female I had to get men sized shoes. So they were a little loose fitting. I wear a women’s 9, I got men’s 8. So I got my own tieless shoe strings, that way I am able to tighten. Because if they are loose while walking ur feet will keep coming out of the shoe as u walk. So I would recommend getting some strings to tighten.UPDATE: 7/12/2024I love these shoes and they finally have womens size. Lasted 6 months. They are comfy but do not last more than 6 months, the sole is thin and if i walk in wet and walk on concrete in factory they are slippery because the tread is bald. I still like these shoes regardless. I will just buy a new pair every 6 months or so. They are cheap and affordable. Plus in my case my workplace gives $200 every 2 years. So i plan on buying these for under $50 bucks every 6 months and getting reimbursed. So for me thats worth it. If the price go more than $50 i will not buy these unless the quality of tread is better but still have the same comfort. So anyone that is wanting to buy these, if u walk a lot then i would be prepared to buy every 6 months. But worth it if your workplace reimburses you for the cost. Hopefully my full review helps someone else.

Good work shoes for the price.
The shoes are about a half size larger than what Amazon recommended for me based on how they fit. They are comfortable to wear and super light.
