Modern Spare Complete Compact Spare Tire Kit - Fits 2016-2025 Chrysler Pacifica

Imagine my dismay to discover the used 2022 Pacifica I just purchased does not have a spare tire. I looked at the Chrysler spare tire kit but it is very expensive, maybe impossible to find, too complicated for me to install into the sidewall where there's now a storage cubby, and it's an inflatable spare requiring a compressor. I also considered the option of spray sealant plus compressor, but that's only good for small holes on the surface of the tire. So I was so glad to find this wheel-mounted spare, with jack and lug wrench, made to fit my Pacifica.The wheel size of this spare is different than the 235/65R17 tires on the Pacifica, but the total diameter of the wheel plus tire is exactly the same and after reading about it at Modern Spare's website, I was confident it would fit. I haven't installed the spare onto the car, but holding it up next to the current tires, I can see that it is a good fit. Also, holes for the lug bolts line up just fine.I'm storing the spare in the back cargo area, lying flat. It's 29" in diameter, but only about 5" high, so I can lay stuff on top of it and not lose very much cargo space. I keep the 3rd-row rear seat down in the stow-n-go bay, so I didn't check if the spare fits behind that 3rd-row seat when it is upright.We like to drive to remote areas, often far away from roadside service, so having an actual inflated spare tire with jack and wrench is the only choice for us. Everything looks good, but when we tried it turns out they shipped the incorrect Rim and Tire... We ordered it for a trip wee were taking and didn't have time to check the Rim actually had the correct bold pattern for our vehicle. After our trip I had time to check everything and found the wrong item was shipped. The correct one is on back order... but they are sending us a replacement. Be sure to make sure everything works. You wouldn't want to find this out on the road with a flat... Man Chrysler you really are making my life more difficult then it needs to be by not providing a spare ... Boo Chrysler ....

We hope we never need to use this spare tire. We bought it for peace of mind. It came just as advertised with all the parts and a nice looking carry case, which keeps everything we need stored together, making it worth the price. We store it in the rear cargo of our Pacifica. It doesn't fit in the stow and go seat area up front. We could have bought a smaller donut style spare that would fit in the stow and go, but we opted for the larger standard sized tire that fits our vehicle, as we know it should allow us to drive faster for a longer distance. We only wanted the spare in case we have an emergency blow out while traveling (as Texas is very big and it's common to spend hours on the road in middle of nowhere between cities just to get out of the state). As the dealership pointed out, our Pacifica comes with the flat tire kit, bit it's only good for fix-a-flat and not helpful if you have a complete blowout. The spare doesn't take up much cargo space. We store it standing upright, and there's enough room still for our monster baby stroller (Evenflo Pivot Xpand with detached seat) to fit in front of it with more room to spare in the cargo area beside it. I'm easily able to fit my Evenflo stroller Market Basket beside it, along with 3 full large insulated zipper bags of groceries. And, if I really want to stock up, I can put an entire case of bottled water in the cargo space first and then stack my Market Basket and insulated grocery bags on top (lots of extra cargo vertical space). So, for anyone else like us with concerns about the fit, it is doable. And we can easily remove the spare and store it in the garage when we aren't traveling because of the carry case. It's a little pricey, but it was worth the peace of mind to buy a Modern Spare with its good reputation than to save a few dollars and buy a small donut spare tire. If we ever need to use it, I will update this review with information about ease of use and quality. It's heavy, but I was able to lift it myself into the cargo area without help from my husband, and I'm only 5'3" average build.

Great looking spare tire. Jack and wrench work well. I installed the tire to make sure it fitted. It fit perfectly. Would recommend if you're looking for a spare tire.

Peace of mind. New cars = no spare. It arrived and I took it to my mechanic shop they checked it and put it on my vehicle to make sure on a road trip Thai it would work for me. It fit perfect. They said I was not their first, that several of their customers had purchased these and they worked. I have not needed to use it yet, thank God. But, if that day comes I have peace of mind knowing I will not have any problems with it

When purchasing this vehicle totally missed it did not have a space. Modern Spare to the rescue! The spare was very easy to order and confirm fit for my vehicle. Having 7 Grandkids, I am glad to have the spare, hope I never have to use it.
