This product is a lifesaver. I live in the Northeast and have doors that are exposed to a lot of moisture. This kit makes the job fast, easy, and permanent. Since it is made of PVC, I won’t have to do it again. You will need an oscillating tool to cut the old jamb and general/multi-purpose epoxy putty. I am planning on repairing another door with this kit. Excellent product, highly recommend.

This product saved me from replacing the whole jamb. The jamb was rotted about 3" up from lack of maintenance. Installation was pretty straight forward, if you have done any door work.

I didn't want to replace the rotted wood of my door frame with more wood, so I got this PVC frame repair kit. It is a bit expensive, but I think it is totally worth it. The kit is well made and easy to install. Would buy again if I ever needed to repair a rotted lower door frame. BTW: The actual part has groves on the back, like many standard door frames. It isn't on the exterior where you see it.

i noticed some jam rot on both sides of an exterior door. started looking around for easier ways to repair it vs have to replace the entire frame. i found this product and couldn't be more please. the issue is most door frames are not treated/painted/sealed on the ends of the wood and are prone to rot unless there is a porch or large overhang of some kind.this is a patch panel of sorts that is solid PVC. =no rot, ever again.measure up the frame, cut the entire old wood out, replace with new PVC patch. caulk, glue, screw, paint to your liking.everything matched up, weather stripping and all. i didn't even remove the door from the hinge.i will admit that the second side turned out better than my first side. but i was rushed trying to complete all my todo list that day before the rain came.on to customer service: i ordered and item was sent out USPS. was delayed and then showed no updated tracking for about a week. thinking lost package, i contacted the seller and he immediately sent out a replacement UPS. my project work day was still on schedule.could not be happier with the seller or the product!
