Solves a very specific problem on how to add an outlet when you can't cut in an old work box, in my case the wall was solid masonry with plaster, no way to open it up. very handy.

I use these outlets for special-purpose extension cords. They are perfect for that. They are made by Leviton, a company that's been around for years - I remember them from the 1950's.

The mounting screw is directly under the romex cable entry slot. It's a bit tricky to mount it after wiring. In a tight space it's also a bit tricky to wire it after mounting. It's possible with a little clever manipulation, and it seems well built.
